Hey, everybody. I want to apologize for my lack of commenting on your blogs. I am way behind in my Blogger reading list and have only had time to comment on those I follow through email. I'm hoping to get some time soon to go through the list and some of your older posts and see what you've been up to.
Even though I don't do a lot of tags, I wanted to enter Virginia's latest challenge.
The twist to the challenge is that you are to use a recycle/household item on your tag. I started out with a recycle from my unfinished bin, but wasn't sure that qualified exactly so I added a surprise.
I made the tag background so long ago I don't remember what all I did to it. I know I must have spread some Distress Inks on my craft sheet, sprayed them and then drug the tag through it. then stamped over it with a Tim Holtz checkered stamp and sprayed the whole thing with some glimmer mist. It doesn't show in the photo but it's there. I took a sentiment and butterfly from my PTI Beautiful Butterflies set and stamped in Navy ink. Now for the household item part. Do you recognize my "ribbons"? I rubbed Faded Jeans over a used dryer sheet. Not a good idea unless you want to turn your hands blue. I should have smooshed it in the ink mixed with water like I've done with seam binding. After it dried, I cut it into strips and tied it on. I don't know when I'll ever use this unless I attach it to a card.but I like it. Maybe it will just hang on my inspiration board for a while.
Thank you for all the comments you leave. It makes my day.
