CAS Mix-Up - May

One thing about the CAS Mix-Up challenge is they teach us so many neat techniques to use on our cards.  This month they have several videos with different way to use baby wipes.
This was an interesting experiment.  I did find that you need to use a good grade of photo paper.  One I tried the ink was totally erased by the baby wipe.  I also realized I like it better when the image stamped on top has quite a bit of color on its own to stand out against the background.  Here I used several DOX to smoosh the photo paper and stamp the flower.  Then the magic happens but you'll have to find that out for yourselves. ;)  I thought the simplicity was good for a sympathy card so I die cut a PTI frame in gray, stamped the sentiment and added it to a gray card.

Thanks for dropping by.

Amen to that, Bobby … I never would have tried this, or heard of it! I love the colors you've used... it's amazing how bright the inks get, right?
Very pretty!

Wasn't it fun to try this magic? Your ethereal background is perfect for a sympathy card, Bobby. I love your choice for the color of the frame and the card base. It adds a finished look to the soft baby wipe panel. Thanks so much for joining us at CAS Mix Up!

Oh Bobby, I have to laugh because I did the exact same thing and the color wiped right off! I tried dabbing and it worked much better. Your card is lovely and the background is so pretty. I love the framing you did.

Lovely sympathy card. I discovered what you said about good quality photo paper - my attempts were a disaster - paper now on shopping list!
