Time Out Challenge #162

Here is Time Out's Challenge for this week.
That shouldn't be too difficult, should it?  Well it was for me.  The first thing that came to mind was "Free like a bird" so I stamped a bunch of my The Greetery birds.  Then two of them sat on my desk for days while I wondered what to do with them.  I finally made the card and then struggled with the sentiment.
I thought the birds needed a sky to perch in so I used my MFT cloud stencil and Broken China Distress Oxide.  The branch is from Altenew that has had major surgery and an inking all over with Cup O' Joe (which also stamps the sentiment btw).  Should I use a speech bubble?  The bluebirds are too close together for that, and besides what would it say?  Technique Tuesday to the rescue with this one.  I can image the mama bird saying it to her young even without the speech bubble.  Whew, I'm glad that's done.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope your struggles are few.

oh Bobby it is so good to read how you got to making this fab card-so it was a challenge for you....but challenge we must! And I bet you are glad with how it turned out! The birds look great, love the colours and so sweet perched like this. And the soft background of clouds is perfect. And I think you got the placement of all the images and sentiment just right, there is a flow to the card-oh so this could be 'free' too-see you hit 'free' twice! I am so glad you joined us and I am sure the next challenge will be super easy for you! x

Bobby, if you could see this from my perspective, you'd know how perfect that sentiment is right now... my baby bluebirds are having flying lessons at the moment - so I see a great distance between your big, and small bluebirds - though the real babies look quite different irl: speckled, and as cute as a button!
Sweet as it can be!

I think birds are so free; some of them travel so much; they can; we don't :) So I see them as super free at the moment! It sometimes is a struggle if there just is one idea that pops up, but I'm sure that you will get more with our next challenge... This card looks so good; love those sponged clouds! Thank you for joining us at TIME OUT!

Empathising with your creative struggle, Bobby ... it's a challenge for me too just now! However, you pulled together such a lovely soft sky scene with these cute bluebirds ... they're such a sweet pair ... and the 'advice' is fabulous! Hugs, Anita :)
