Freshly Made Sketches #539

The sketch at Freshly Made Sketches was an easy one for me and I think it took about half an hour to make this card.

I googled Dahlias and saw a gorgeous multi-colored one that inspired my coloring of PTI's Dahlia die.  The cuts were colored with Distress Inks in Mustard Seed, Salt Water Taffy and Abandoned Coral.  The leaves are Twisted Citron.  Which sentiment and what color are always a dilemma for me but I knew I'd need an anniversary card and since a strip of gray was laying on my desk I went with it, embossing the Hero Arts stamp in white.

Thanks for dropping by.  I love it when you do.

I love finding all the varieties of flowers on the web - your multi-colored Dahlia is just gorgeous, Bobby!

I always struggle with the sentiment. It's a good idea to go with what you need now or in the near future. The gray strip is a lovely contrast to this bright and beautiful dahlia!
