The Flower Challenge #22

Welcome to July and the next chapter in The Flower Challenge story.  This month we want to see Monochrome cards.
That means your card should be in black and white or varying shades of the same color.  Also remember that flowers need to be the focal point of your card, flowers that have been created by you.
My card is done in shades of gray, coloring the Altenew flowers with PolyChromos pencils.

The Design Team loves to see all your wonderful floral creations and hopes you'll stop by the blog to see what they created and be inspired to make one of your own.

CASology #279

Gray is a popular color in home decorating and is also the cue word for this week's CASology.

I thought the color would be appropriate for a sympathy card and used all three SSS gray cardstocks and the ferns from PTI's Meadow Greens.

Thanks for dropping by.  I love it when you do.

CASology #134 and SSSW

There was some debate over at CASology as to what monochrome means and how that would transfer onto a card.  To me it means different shades of only one color and that's what I used to make my entry.

I used a variety of grays with my SSS die, including PTI Soft Stone for the card base, SSS Fog, Smoke and Slate for the two panels and branches, some snippets of other grays for the bird and leaves, and HA Charcoal for my Penny Black Sentiment.  The second panel is embossed with Forest Branches.

Since there is texture in the embossing and layers, I'm also sending this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - add a little texture.

Thanks for stopping by,  You visits and comments are always appreciated.
