Inspired by All the Little Things is back after summer break with some changes and a beautiful inspiration photo. The wonderful Darnell Knauss is now one of the administrators on the blog and for her first assignment she invited her lovely friend (and mine) Bev Buenker to be the guest designer. When Bev listed me as one of her inspirations I HAD to make a card. How could I not.
The flowers are from Altenew, stamped in Altenew inks. They needed a background and I took a cue from the paper in the photo, stamping a PB script stamp in Soft Vanilla ink on cream cardstock. A little Distress Ink around the edges and a PB sentiment with a scripty font and it's done. (A little secret? I originally wanted the flowers in the upper left corner but the sponging left a big bright spot in the right corner so I made a switch).
I'm so glad you dropped by today. I hope you come back again.

The Card Concept #73
I almost didn't post this card. I made it last minute for The Card Concept and am not very happy with it.
This looks a lot better in real life. I had a difficult time editing it. I used some old, old DSP, over stamping the top panel with a script from PB, butterflies from HLS and CP and a sentiment from HA.. Here's the inspiration photo.
Thanks for dropping by.

CAS Mix-up December and The Flower #3
I don't do a lot of mixed media cards but I'm trying to branch out and the CAS Mix-up Challenge is just what I need to spur me on. The parameters for this month are stamping, sponging and choice.
I started by stamping the flower from PB. I also have a stencil for this flower so I used it to sponge on color with Distress Ink. I masked the flowers and sponged through a screen stencil in blue, stamped a script in gray and splattered the background with more blue and gray. I mounted the flower panel on Soft Stone and white embossed the sentiment on a scrap of black. It looks like I made a lot of choices for my card. (wink). I hope it's CAS enough.
The Flower Challenge wants us to use an older flower stamp or die and this one is probably one of my oldest so I'm sending my card to them too.
The sun is shining today. I think that's to lull us into a false sense of security. It's frigid out and the forecast for the weekend doesn't look good. I'm supposed to have Christmas with my kids and grands and greats on Sunday and I may not make it.
Thanks for dropping by. I hope things are looking good where you are.

Fusion - French Twist
No fusion today, just the color inspiration at the Fusion challenge.
I loved the tutu style skirt and took my inspiration from that.
I paper pieced a stamp from Penny Black, adding the script in Memento London Fog and the sentiment from PTI in HA Charcoal.
Hmmm London fog. That reminds me that there's a Linky Party going on over at Kylie's Addicted to Stamps for Sandie of London Days. I think this card is saying it wants to join the surprise and say "Happy Birthday" to Sandie.
Maybe you'd like to send birthday wishes, too.
