I've had this card ready for CAS Mix-Up for a while but have been posting others whose deadlines are nearer. They want us to use the Bokeh technique and if you need help with that there are videos on their blog.
I inked the 'ocean' with Distress Ink and then used two different stencils with Unicorn white. I had to go over some of them several times to get the saturation because it kept sinking into the blue. I die cut a square, stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts and then fussy cut the seahorse from the same set.
Thanks for dropping by. Have a great weekend.

October CAS Mix Up Challenge
I wanted to make a card for the CAS Mix Up Challenge in the worst way but was having trouble deciding what stencils went together and how to layer them. A few nights ago I spend the evening working on a card, getting really inky in the process, and was finally happy with it.
The next morning I awoke with the realization that the card I worked so hard on was not CAS at all. AND the stamps weren't layered. I read that little tidbit later. (Head slap to the forehead) Now what do I do? I figured there must be a way to make another card using the same elements but in a clean and simple way. Behold the new card.
I smooshed a panel of mixed media paper with DOXs in autumn colors, then layered the TH 'Striped' stencil for trees trunks with the CP Marching Leaves stencil, inking them up with the same DOX. I had already cut the frame for another card that didn't work out but it fit this panel perfectly. The sentiment is from HA.
Do you want to see the original card? Well, if you insist.
I send Thanksgiving cards to the homebound members of my church and I think I have enough and it isn't even Halloween yet. Speaking of, I'd better get a few more of those cards done to send to my grandkids.
Thanks for dropping by. I love it when you do.
