I have a quick and simple card for CAS(E) This Sketch, turning the sketch upside down.
A little cork, some ancient PTI paper with an equally ancient note punch for the top, and some enamel dots to represent push pins fill the bill. The sentiment is from PB.
This one will go into my masculine file.
Thanks for dropping by.

Merry Monday #247
I didn't think I had anything to use to make a card for Merry Monday this week. They want a non-black silhouette. The non-black part wasn't the problem. It was the silhouette part. Then I remembered my SSS Village. I played around with it until I came up with a design that I liked.
The images don't cut at the bottom so you can line them up, die cut and then cut out in between. I did have another building and tree but the building was a little slanted. Now what? I decided to put them in a circle which meant I could cut off the offending images. ;) I also cut two SSS slopes to put in front of the houses. It's difficult to see the first one but I like the dimension it gives to the card. Once I had my top panel put together, I masked off where the windows would be and inked with DOX in Faded Jeans. I added a few spatters, removed the mask and inked the window area with Zigs. The sentiment from PB was stamped in Faded Jeans also. That's one thing about the Oxides. You can stamp sentiments with them.
That's quite a long write up about what I did. If you made it through, thank you. If you just looked at the card, that's okay too.

Addicted to CAS #111
The code word for Addicted to CAS this week as picked by Ellenor is
I just HAD to do flowers.
The Altenew Lotus were stamped, masked and watercolored with Distress Inks. I didn't know what sentiment I'd use until I was all done and then thought this sympathy one from PTI fit well.
The winner of this challenge will receive a $15 gift certificate to Happy Little Stampers. We hope you'll make a card featuring pink but be sure to keep it clean and simple.
I'm going to do something I rarely do on a Design Team post. I'm going to send my card to CAS Watercolor Challenge where they are looking for flowers.

Just Us Girls #393
It's Trend Week at Just Us Girls and Sue has picked one of the hottest things going: Distress Oxides. If you don't have them don't worry. You can use your regular Distress Inks to make a background.
I have the Oxides and they blend beautifully on Bristol Board so that's what I used.
I originally tried the technique where you mist your stamps before putting them to inked paper to remove some of that ink. I don't know if my stamps were too small or too wet but I didn't like the results so I overstamped the images from TT with Distress Ink. The sentiment is from PTI and to balance it's Onyx Black, I added a strip of black cs to the bottom.
Our guest designer Kathie Durgan and the rest of my fabulous team mates at Just Us Girls have cards waiting for you to peruse and be inspired by. We hope you will make a card for a chance to be our Chic of the Week and possible guest designer in the future.

Less Is More #327
It's color day at Less Is More and the colors are yellow and gray chosen by Design Team member Anita who is celebrating her birthday. In honor of Anita I made a yellow and gray birthday card.
I used the Beautiful Day set from Altenew and stamped the multi-layer flower in Altenew yellows and popped it up. The rest of the flowers and leaves were stamped with Evening Gray, with a touch of yellow washed on. The sentiment is from HA.
Thanks for dropping by.

Addicted to Stamps and More #241
One of our most popular challenges at Addicted to Stamps and More is -
you guessed it!
I figured it was a good time to use my NBUS Feel Better stamps and dies from MFT.
The bottles were stamped on Bristol and colored with Zigs. While the GA on the heart dried, I stenciled the background, stamped the sentiment and added a shelf. It seems there's a lot of crud going around so I may need this sooner than I think.
I know you don't need much encouragement to add your cards to an 'anything goes' gallery but why not check out what the Design Team has made. It may inspire you in a different way.

Curtain Call - Flutter
It must be butterfly season as I'm seeing them all over blogland. My card is for the challenge at Curtain Call.
The butterflies from HLS are heat embossed in white and then the background smooshed with Distress Oxides. To balance the black sentiment from PTI, I edged two sides of the panel with black cs.
Thanks for dropping by. Enjoy your day.

CAS(E) This Sketch #220
The sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch gave me a chance to get out my NBUS Altenew Garden Treasures. With a little masking I came up with this.
That's all for now. Thanks for dropping by.

Time Out #82
You all know what kissing is don't you? No, not that smoochy, lip touching kissing. Stamp kissing. It's when you ink up a stamp and then press another stamp into it to make a pattern before you put it to paper. Stamp Kissing is the twist to use on your flowers for the Time Out challenge. Here's what I mean.
I must admit that I bought some stamps from Paper Smooches called Kissables a long time ago when I first learned of this technique and haven't used them in forever. The SSS Artful Flowers are the perfect stamp to use them on although I did add a couple of tiny Altenew flowers that I kissed.
I've been working all weekend to get a bunch of cards made ahead for Design Teams and challenges I like to participate in. I need to get busy making curtains for the cottage and since I use the same space that I stamp in, I have to clean up all my stuff. I wouldn't want any stray ink on my white fabric.

CASology #247
CASology, what are you trying to do to me? Sometimes I have to think too hard to come up with a card for your cue word. And there are times when I can't think of anything at all. But not this time.
Here's my card for your cue word "Flow". Electricity flows through wires to light our houses, even a single bulb like this, thanks to Concord and 9th and some DI smooshing.
Thanks for dropping by. I hope you have a fabulous weekend.

Just Us Girls #392
As Mother's Day approaches, our hostess Maria chose Mother as her word for Just Us Girls Word Week.
I lost my mother a year and a half ago but still made a Mother's Day card. Maybe I will send it to my daughter.
The flowers are Aletnew's Bamboo Roses that I borrowed from Michele and white embossed when we had our craft day a couple of weeks ago. I thought I'd try watercoloring with DIOx's and it worked great. I inked around the flowers with Limestone and stamped the sentiment from Altenew in the same ink. The panel was cut with a scalloped rectangle from N & T and mounted on Soft Stone.
I hope to see you in the gallery.

This month we have Kathie Durgan as our guest designer. Go on over to Just Us Girls and she what she and the rest of the design team made. If you make a card, you may be chosen Chic of the Week and be eligible for a guest design spot.

The Card Concept #72
If April showers bring May flowers, what do May showers bring? It looks like floods in some parts of the country and my prayers are with those who are in the disaster zones.
On a happier note, The Card Concept theme is April Showers and they have this cute photo for our inspiration.
I found a pair of boots that I die cut from one of Michele's dies the first time I visited. Fortunately I had some of the same paper left to make my umbrella.
I did some faint stenciled raindrops in the background and added GA to the souls of the boots and the handle of the umbrella. The inside sentiment says "Every path has its puddles."
I'm glad you dropped by and I hope your puddles are few.

Tag You're It! - New Format
Tag You're It! is announcing a new format beginning with today's challenge. It will be a monthly challenge beginning on the first Friday of each month and ending on the last Wednesday. The Design Team will have new inspiration for you each Friday and the Guest Designer will be participating on the first and third week.
I know some of you say you don't make tags but remember you can always make them into a card at a later date. We're hoping that with more time to create you'll be joining us.
For Challenge #71, we have a tag from Lindsey to inspire you.
We also have the winner of challenge #69 Marcia Hill as our Guest Designer. Please go check out the tags that Marcia and this week's Design Team made at Tag You're It! We'd love to see your tag in the gallery.

Merry Monday #246
'Twas the night before Christmas. . . That's the theme for cards at Merry Monday this week. Now skip down to the part about eight tiny reindeer and you'll have my card.
Those ME reindeer are so cute peeking out at MFT's Santa embossed in white and colored with Zigs. At the end, Santa doesn't say 'Merry Christmas'. He says "Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night" so I had to use that sentiment from CB.
Thanks for taking the time to drop by.

Inkspirational #133
While graffiti can have a bad name, I think sometimes it's an artistic expression and can be quite wonderful. It's usually done on a large scale but this week Inkspirational is asking us to do a smaller format on our cards. I had to think about it for a while and go through some of my stamps but found some I though would make a great graffiti card.
The words are from a number of different stamp companies. Two of them I doubled stamped to make a shadow. I think this makes a great masculine card and I'm going to need a couple in another week.
ETA: Thanks to Nonni, I'm going to send this card to Less Is More who are asking for shadows.

CAS(E) This Sketch #219
Today's card is for CAS(E) This Sketch.
There are lots of ways to go with this but I wanted to used something I haven't used in a while - Crazy Birds.
I stamped the bird and sentiment from HLS on Bristol board and colored him with Zigs. I just had to add some Glossy Accents to those big eyes of his.
Thanks for dropping by.
