I thought this post was never going to happen. I couldn't find the linky on any of the HLS challenges all day yesterday. I messaged Kylie and she said it must be my computer and maybe I needed to clear my cache. Before doing that I checked the blogs again today and there they were. Whew! Now I can post this one card for three of the Happy Little Stamper Challenges: Mixed Media, Watercolor and CAS.
The Mixed Media challenge was to use tissue paper and I had several in my stash from a previous challenge. I pulled out this one to use as a background for my NBUS Stemmed Statements from PTI. Since I watercolored the nasturtium with Zigs, I can enter it into the Watercolor - "Anything Goes with the Option of a Bloom" challenge. It's also going to the CAS challenge that asks for a flower.
Thanks for dropping by. Enjoy your day!

CAS(E) This Sketch #236
I thought the sketch for CAS(E) This Sketch was a great one this week.
An idea came to mind right away.
I started with an alcohol panel left over from another card. Then I need something for the circle portion of the sketch. Zigs and the individual flowers from the Essentials by Ellen hydrangea to the rescue. The sentiment from Sugar Pea Designs was white heat embossed.
Thanks for dropping by. I hope your week is off to a great start.

Time Out #90
Time Out has an interesting twist to their current challenge. They want an Autumn card but you have the option of speed stamping - making a card in under 10 minutes. The gauntlet was tossed and I picked it up. You can get all your stamps and inks out before you start the timer.
I made my card in 9 minutes and 35 seconds. It could have been 9 minutes flat but I got some spots from the spritzing so I had to make some intentional splatters to cover it up. Hero Arts Layered Leaves were used with Distress Inks to stamp the card front. The panel was placed in my MISTI so I could get a good stamping of the Neat and Tangled sentiment. I'm glad I did because it took three times to get a crisp image. Another reason the card took longer than it could have.
I'm glad you dropped by. Why not give speed stamping a try. I thought it was rather fun.

Just Us Girls #408 - Photo Week
Just look at this fun photo that Maria chose for this week's challenge at Just Us Girls.
There are lots of elements that could be used on a card. I was inspired by the colors and the tropical vibe.
MFT's Polynesian Paradise makes up the bulk of my card. DOX in Fossilized Amber shines through the popped up panel, showing off the flowers and dancer colored with Zigs and DIs.
We'd love to see how the photo inspires you. Take a peek at what the Design Team and Guest Designer Darnell have done and then make a card of your own. If you are chosen Chick of the Week, you will be in the running for a guest design spot in October.

CASology #263
I was working on my card for CASology, trying to figure out the best way to display my bud, when a surprise belated birthday card and enclosed gift arrived on my doorstep. Talk about good timing.
One of the stitched dies that Loll sent me had the perfect curve to nestle my Altenew bud into. Thanks, Loll. The PB sentiment was stamped to match the strip of gray cs that the white panel was popped over.
ETA: So honored that this card was chosen the winner of the CASology challenge.
I'm so glad you dropped by. I hope your week is going well.

The Heart Desires #15 and Where Creativity Meets C9 #12
One card, two challenges. I love when that happens and it wouldn't have if Where Creativity Meet C9 wasn't having an Anything Goes challenge so I could send them the card I made for The Heart Desires. Their lovely mood board is below. Concord and 9th are celebrating their 2nd birthday so this card sends best wishes to them.
The cake and banner from Concord and 9th are colored with Zigs. The background is a stamp from Hero Arts embossed with WOW pearl embossing powder. Here's a different angle so you can see the shine.
Thanks for dropping by.

The Flower Challenge #11
All those smaller images we have are great for background stamping. I used WPlus9's Happy Wishes to make my card for The Flower Challenge.
After stamping the panel with Altenew Inks, I cut it with the Neat and Tangled scallop die and mounted it on Lovely Lady cardstock. The sentiment was stamped and clear embossed on vellum that was cut around the edges.

CAS Mix Up August
I'm back from the lake for a few days so I had a little time to make a card for the CAS Mix Up Challenge. I only have a few alcohol inks but that's all I needed.
I watched Loll's video and then used some of the Yupo paper she so generously sent me to try. It works like a dream for alcohol ink smooshing. I placed a piece of my inked panel behind the MFT peekaboo die and added a poppystamps die in purple. The sentiment is from HA.

Addicted to CAS #118
A new code word is up on the Addicted to CAS challenge blog chosen by Susan. It took me a while to decide what to do but since I wanted to use my NBUS stamps from PTI, I came up with this.
I stamped and die cut the berries, mounting them on a SSS stitched circle that hangs over the top of the card. The PB sentiment was curved to follow the edge or the circle.
Our sponsor this week is Happy Little Stampers who is awarding a $15 gift certificate to the winner of the challenge. We'd love to see you make a card - remember to keep it CAS - and enter it in the gallery.

Just Us Girls #407 - Color Week
Our host Sue has chosen the following colors for Color Week at Just Us Girls:
I love primary colors. They remind me of painting and that influenced my choice of stamps.
A WPlus9 Stamp set colored with Distress Inks make up the background. The sentiment was computer generated.
What do you think of when you think of red, yellow and blue? Head on over to see what the rest of the Design Team and our guest designer Darnell have made using these colors. We hope they inspire you to make a card for the gallery. If you do you may be chosen Chic of the Week and have a chance to be our guest designer in October.

Addicted to Stamps and More #255
Isn't this lovely? This is how the photo inspired me to make a card for Addicted to Stamps and More.
Texture paste mixed with Distress Inks was blended over a stencil from HA. The W&W word die has three layers of Hawaiian Shores cs.
We'd love to see how the photo inspires you. Need more ideas? Check out what the Design Team has done.

Just Us Girls #406 - Trend Week
That's right crafters. It's Trend Week at Just Us Girls and our host Judy has chosen
There are so many ways to add shine to your card. The difficult part is in photographing it.
It's hard to tell in this photo but the Altenew flowers are embossed in gold and the kraft cardstock came embossed with the wonderful foil design Here's another view.
Plenty of shine here but still not as great as IRL.
The Design Team and our August Guest Designer Darnell have some fantastic cards for your inspiration over on the blog. Give them a visit and then make a card to enter in the gallery. You may be chose Chic of the Week with a chance to be our October guest.

Addicted to CAS #117
Oops, I did it again. I think I'm going to have to make that my theme song. For those of you who already saw this card, I appreciate your comments. You will be seeing it again because I scheduled it for the wrong date.
This is another borrow from Michele - the flower from Concord and 9th. I watercolored it with Abandoned Coral DI, adding splatters and the sentiment from MFT.
The design team has some wonderful CAS cards for your inspiration. If you make a one layer card and enter it in the gallery you may be the winner of a $10 gift certificate from Stamplorations. Don't forget it has to be clean and simple.
I hope to see you there.
Just Us Girls #405 - Word Week
Lisa is the host for Word Week Challenge at Just Us Girls and the word she chose is
That's right. Shower. Any kind of shower. I used what I had and made a baby shower card. I don't need one but when I do it will be ready.
I started with a panel inked with DOX in Broken China and cut with the SSS frame die. I laid the SSS rain stencil over it and blotted with a wet towel. I'm glad the look is subtle because I just realized it's on upside down. 😞
I silver embossed the handle of the MFT umbrella. and added the tag and sentiment from My Craft Spot (closed). Not my best work but I'm out of practice. Being away from home has interfered with my card creativity.
The ever lovely and talented Darnell is our guest designer this month and she and the rest of the design team have some wonderfully 'wet' cards for your inspiration. Take a peek and then create a shower card of your own. You may be chosen Chic of the Week with a chance to be our October guest designer.

Addicted to Stamps and More #253
That's right! It's time to make a holiday card for Addicted to Stamps and More this week. I'm behind in my Christmas card making so that's the direction I took.
The stamps are from The Ton that I got in a CP Stamp of Approval box and the design came from a card that was posted on their blog. I used Altenew inks for the holly and sentiment and Delicata gold for the flourishes.
We look forward to seeing your holiday card in the gallery.
