Inspired by All the Little Things is back after summer break with some changes and a beautiful inspiration photo. The wonderful Darnell Knauss is now one of the administrators on the blog and for her first assignment she invited her lovely friend (and mine) Bev Buenker to be the guest designer. When Bev listed me as one of her inspirations I HAD to make a card. How could I not.
The flowers are from Altenew, stamped in Altenew inks. They needed a background and I took a cue from the paper in the photo, stamping a PB script stamp in Soft Vanilla ink on cream cardstock. A little Distress Ink around the edges and a PB sentiment with a scripty font and it's done. (A little secret? I originally wanted the flowers in the upper left corner but the sponging left a big bright spot in the right corner so I made a switch).
I'm so glad you dropped by today. I hope you come back again.

Addicted to Stamps and More #259
My great-granddaughter will be two on Friday and I made this CAS card for her birthday. You can see it again at Addicted to Stamps and More along with those my Design Team-mates have made.
The card base is Spicy Yogurt from Altenew to give a little color and texture to the background. The Memory Box scalloped 'word pop' (their words, not mine) cut my computer generated sentiment. The little giraffe is from CB, colored with Distress Inks and Yes! he's on a wobble. What little kid doesn't like a wobbly animal on their birthday card? I know Hannah will love it.
Thanks for dropping by. I hope you'll be making a Clean and Simple card to enter in our gallery. You can find the definition of CAS on the blog.

Time Out #91
It's CASE the designer week at Time Out and the designer is Beverley Brown of Uniko fame. She made this lovely to inspire us.
Here is how I was inspired.
I knew right away I'd use my lily from PB. It wasn't until someone mentioned their Clarity brushes that I decided to use a W&W stencil for my background. The stencil is a diagonal stripe and I hoped I could do the stripes in rainbow Distress Ink and then move the stencil down and do the same color again to make a wide stripe. Well you can see that didn't happen. A heavier or lighter hand made the colors a little different from the first application but I rather like it. It's like I used 14 colors instead of only 7.

CAS(E) This Sketch #238
Nothing like a good sketch to make you use a stamp set you HAD to have. CAS(E) This Sketch did it for me this week.
This was made with PTI's Garden Gate set that I've only used twice but not these images. The frame and hanger are silver embossed and the Bleeding Hearts are stamped with Altenew Inks.
I finally got caught up on all my emails. It feels good to whittle that number down and comment on all the blogs I get by email. I so enjoy seeing all your beautiful creations.

Freshly Made Sketches #304
It's been a while since I played at Freshly Made Sketches but I have a die that was begging to be used and this sketch fit the bill.
The Spira Doily is from CP. The sentiment from Dare2BArtsy is stamped on Summer Sunrise that matches a color in the pp.
Thanks for dropping by - again. This is my second post today because my finished cards are all due shortly and I don't want to miss the challenge deadline.

CASology #265
The word this week at CASology is
Since both my daughter and granddaughter are art teachers, I had to do something that shows the importance of art education.
I stamped the easel from PS, added the words from WPlus9 and some Distress Ink for color. Like the saying goes, the earth without art is 'eh'.

Make It Monday #296
The challenge this week at Make It Monday is to use some of those little images that come in your stamps sets and repeat them on your card. I often overlook some of those images but knew I had quite a few on the Jar Filler stamps.
I silver heat embossed the candy kisses from the Spring set, colored them with a silver Sharpie and used a lot of WOS. The hugs from SSS was layered five time beside the 'and' from W&W.
This was lots of fun. I'll be looking for ways to use my smaller stamps from now on. How about you?

Just Us Girls #410 - Trend Week
I'm hosting the challenge at Just Us Girls this week and I've chosen
Not sure what this is? You put ink on your acrylic block, spritz it with water and stamp on watercolor paper. It's best if you leave the block on the paper for a few minutes to let the ink soak in. For a more detailed description of this technique, check out this blog post and video by Jennifer McGuire. That's where I got my inspiration to make my card.
After my Distress Ink was dry, I white embossed the flower and sentiment from PTI's Stemmed Sentiments, trimmed down the panel (my block wasn't centered) and mounted it on Summer Sunrise cs. See anything unusual about my card? Gasp! I added some sequins. Not something I often do but I thought the card called for it.
While I was playing around with the technique I tried it in another color way.
I used another flower from the stamp set and mounted the panel on Plum Pudding. I decided it was about time to start using some of my colored cardstock. And sequins. *wink*
I will tell you that there's a fine line between not enough water and too much, but don't let that discourage you. Mop up the excess with a paper towel and you might be surprised at the results you get.

Inkspirational #142
It's a good thing I checked the deadline this morning because it runs out today for the Inkspirational challenge and I worked on a card yesterday with one of my oldie but goodie stamps.
I combined new and old for this card using smooshed Distress Oxide Inks for the background before white heat embossing the Queen Anne's lace from PTI's Meadow Greens. The sentiment is from Altenew.
If you are one of the many who live in the path of Hurricane Irma, I pray for your safety. My brother and his wife live in St. Petersburg Florida but just happen to be vacationing in San Francisco. They have friends flying out to join them tomorrow if they can get out.
Thanks for dropping by. I love it when you do.

Merry Monday #255
It's time to get back into Christmas card mode now that Merry Monday has started up again. This week they want the word "JOY" on a card and I obliged with this.
I'm easing back into some of these challenges so I went pretty simple with this card. I cut the vellum with the MFT scalloped die and then stamped and clear heat embossed the NBUS stamp from SSS. I placed this panel on some ancient patterned paper.
Thanks for dropping by. Have you started making your Christmas cards yet?

Less Is More #344
I love lime green and blue together so I had to play along with Less Is More this week.
I had a scrap left over from a tissue paper technique done in blue and green. I darkened the blue with Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink and put it behind the MFT peekaboo die. The same DI was used to color some cardstock for the PB die and to stamp the sentiment from Altenew.

CAS(E) This Sketch #237
It took a while to find something to do for this unusual sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch. Not quite as easy as the week before.
I cut the MFT glasses from some blue shimmer paper although it doesn't show up well in the photo. For the lenses, I cut again in vellum that I colored with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. The sentiment was computer generated.
Thanks for dropping by. Now that the cottage is shut down for the winter you will see me around more often.
Then it hit me!

Stamplorations Blooomgtangled
I couldn't resist Stamplorations invitation to color especially since it includes a download for a sample page from their new coloring book.
I had a little trouble framing out the section I wanted to display but finally came up with die cut from PPP that allowed room for a sentiment from PTI.
Thank You Stamplorations for the sample page and the opportunity to win a prize.

Addicted to CAS #119
Doni is our host at Addicted to CAS this week and she chose the code word
I had to resort to a digital image for my apples since I didn't have any stamps.
I colored the image with Zigs and computer generated the sentiment.
Our sponsor for this challenge is Create a Smile. They are offering a $15 gift certificate to their store. In order to win you need to make a Clean and Simple card and link it up to the gallery. Need some inspiration? Check out what the Design Team have made to inspire you.

Just Us Girls #409 - Word Week
Our host Lisa picked Shoes for Word Week at Just Us Girls.
I don't have any shoe stamps so I went with the next best thing - boots.
I smooshed the background and sentiment strip with Distress Inks using a piece of acetate. The PB rain boots were stamped on Bristol, colored with Zigs and popped up with foam tape. I didn't have a sentiment I liked so I made one on the computer that is also popped up.
Do you have a thing for shoes? We'd love to have you make a card featuring a pair (or more). The Design Team and our guest designer Linda Snodgrass have cards for your inspiration on the blog. Enter a card and you may be chosen Chic of the Week with a chance to be November's guest designer.

CASology #264
What seems like an easy cue word can be more complicated that you think.
See what I mean? What would you do with this? So many possibilities. For me, these long ignored dies came to mind for the challenge at CASology.
I had a watercolor panel that I was experimenting with and didn't like as a full panel so I cut it with these SSS dies. The tiny sentiment is from My Craft Spot (closed) stamping in Charcoal. EZPZCAS
Thanks for dropping by and have a great weekend.
