CASology #274 and 25 Days of Christmas Tags - 4

I think things computer related are all in working order now so I pulled out one of my favorite tiny stamps to make a CAS card for CASology - code word "Tiny".

I've been adding some of my Christmas tags to the end of my blog posts.  I hope that's okay with Tracey and the DT.  I'd hate to miss out of any of those fabulous prizes because I didn't follow the rules.  Today's tag was inspired by this one on day four by Audrey.

The challenge was sponsored by Reverse Confetti but I don't have any of their stamps so I used a new one from Sunny Studio.
I colored the church with Zigs and added a little tree from ME.

I have a lot of tags to go look at since I'm way behind on Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags and Loll also has a mixed media tag challenge.  You'll see more tags from me popping up here in the next few days.

Addicted to CAS #124

Our host Carolyn has chosen 'bows' for our challenge at Addicted to CAS.  I have seen some wonderful layered bow stamps but not in my stash.  I went looking for any bows I had that would carry itself on a card and settled on this one.
The snow globe and gift are from Your Next Stamps, colored with Zigs.  I did add a few snowflakes from CASual Fridays that you can barely see, which was the idea.

I had a mis-stamp on my first card but I resurrected it into this card.
I took the bubble die from CF and cut the offending sentiment off, leaving this small panel which I mounted on some DSP.  The die cut was a gift from Concord and 9th with an order.

We'd love to see what you do with the code word "Bows".  The winner of this challenge will receive a $10 gift certificate to Stamplorations.  Why not go see what the Design Team has for your inspiration and then make card for the gallery.  We'd love to see you there.

Just Us Girls #419 - Trend Week

I know you've seen it all over blog land.  Silhouette stamping.  That's what our host Lisa has chosen for Trend Week at Just Us Girls.
My NBUS SOA carolers were the answer to the required silhouettes.
I stamped the staff from the set in VersaMark on Dove Gray and dusted with Perfect Pearls for a barely there look.  The panel was inked with Distress Oxide in Faded Jeans and given an almost too liberal spray of PP.  Once dry, the silhouettes and sentiment were added with HA India Ink Black.

What silhouettes do you have hiding in your stash?  Pull them out and make a card for this week's challenge.  You may be chosen Chic of the Week and have a chance of being a guest designer like this month's guest Trina Pham.  Please go check out what our wonderful Design Team have created for your inspiration.

See you in the gallery.

The Card Concept #81 and 25 Days of Christmas Tags #5

Today I have a card for The Card Concept in the Clean and Simple category.
The poinsettia is from Sunny Studio stamped in Altenew inks and heat embossed and spattered in gold.  The sentiment is from PB.

Speaking of poinsettias, I have one for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags inspired by this one from Michele on day 5.
I used the same Altenew set to make mine and colored it with Inktense pencils.

I love how well the color shows up on the chocolate cs.

Now that I have my new computer up and running, I can install all my pictures and documents and spend time crafting instead of trying to figure out technology.  I need some creative time.

Thanks for dropping by.  I love it when you do.

Merry Monday #264 and 25 Days of Christmas Tags - 2

Merry Monday has a favorite color combo of mine this week.  No, not red and black. ;)  Red and kraft.
I started by cutting a frame with SSS Stitched Rectangles, stamping the large sentiment from CASual Fridays in the center and embossing the outer one with a snowflake folder.

I also have a tag for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  I was inspired by Ellen's tag below.
Day two was sponsored by Newton's Nook and I don't have any of their stamps.  Instead I used a die from Paper Smooches.

I have an update on the computer saga.  Mine died.  :(  I've been researching new ones and hopefully will have one soon.  My little Chromebook is good for a lot of things but it's slow and doesn't have my programs on it.

Thanks for dropping by.  I love it when you do.

Time Out #96

As a previous winner at Time Out I was asked by Sandie if I'd like to be a guest designer.  Of course I would!! especially since I get a chance to CASE my good friend Michele.  Here's her lovely card.
And here's mine.
The leaves from CP Stamp of Approval were stamped in DOXs on an angled piece of cs.  The die word is also from SOA and is cut once in white and twice in gold, stacked and inlaid into the card front.

How will you be inspired by Michele's card?  Happy Little Stampers is sponsoring this challenge so there's a chance to win a prize if you enter a card.  If you need more inspiration, head on over to see what the design team has done.

I'm 'thankful' that you dropped by and I hope to see you in the gallery.

Inspired By All the Little Things #71

By now you must know that my favorite colors are red and black and the new challenge at Inspired By All the Little Things is a photo full of those colors.
See what I mean.  I could make a ton of cards using this photo as inspiration but I went with a rather simple one that focused on the sentiment.
The sentiment from SSS was stamped and heat embossed on some blackboard-like paper that was layered up with both silver and red foils.

Another computer crisis hit.  My desktop is now at the repair shop and I haven't heard yet what's wrong.  Let's hope it isn't an expensive fix. Meanwhile I'm using my Chromebook which takes a little getting used to but I'm not complaining.  At least I have a way to post and keep up with emails.  I can't do it on my phone because it says that Blogger isn't compatible with IOS 11.  Must be the rest of you who do a lot on your phone haven't updated.

Thanks for dropping by and lending an ear.  I really do appreciate it.

Addicted to Stamps and More #267

It's the Make Your Mark challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More which means you need to use pencils, markers, paint brushes, anything that makes a mark, not just stamping.

I used Inktense pencils on a stamp from PB that Michele let me borrow when she was here.  I added Glossy Accents to the bulbs and a sentiment from CF, then placed the panel on some DSP.

What do you use to make a mark?  We'd love to see your creation in our gallery.  For more inspiration, check out what the Design Team has created.  They'll give you some great ideas.

CAS(E) This Sketch #246 and 25 Days of Christmas Tags Day 3

It's quite some sketch they have for us over at CAS(E) This Sketch.  What do you think?
I went looking through some of my backgrounds and found one I thought would work for the sketch.

I did the background with Brushos and the plastic wrap technique and thought it looked like an out of focus flower garden.  I added flowers and leaves from SOA, trying to make them the color of the area where they are stamped.  The sentiment is white heat embossed on dark green paper.

I also have a tag for you.  I loved this one from Shona Chambers on day three.

I have this set from CASual Fridays but changed it up a little.
I watercolored the leaves and bow with Distress Inks and since mistletoe berries are really white I added a little dash of a gray Zig and then covered them with Pico Embellisher.  I want to try to make a tag for every day and I do have one for Day 2 now but I haven't looked beyond that.  I'm headed there now to see what wonderful things all the Design Teams have done.

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope your week is off to a good start.

Little Red Wagon #418 and 25 Tags of Christmas Day 1

This is my first time at Little Red Wagon but my friend Kate is the host and her choice for the challenge is "Owl About Me".  Now you know I could not pass up a challenge with owls in it.

These cuties are from Winnie and Walter and colored with Zigs.  I thought a little Glossy Accents on the ornaments was called for.

I also have a tag for Tracey's 25 Tags of Christmas challenge.  I saw this tag of Anita's on day one and jumped at the chance to CASE her.

I played with alcohol inks and cut my SSS trees from the resulting panel.  The Noel is from TH cut from foil cs.

I was out shopping today and got some metallic mixative and blending solution so I see more alcohol play in my future. While I was playing I also made my own blending pads from quilt batt.  I knew all those scraps would come in handy some day.

I'm so glad you dropped by.  I hope your weekend went well and you took some time for crafting.

Just Us Girls #418 - Word Week

Maria is our host for this week's word challenge at Just Us Girls and she chose this:
My new Stamp of Approval box had just the perfect things to make a thankful card.
I inked the stencil with a variety of Distress Oxides before layering the vellum that has stamped and heat embossed words.  This is truly the way I feel - thankful, grateful, blessed.

The members of the Design Team have made wonderful creations along with our guest designer Trina Pham from My Crafting Closet.  We hope we inspire you to make a card and enter it in our gallery.

Merry Monday #263 and Loll's Splash Watercolor Challenge

My phone line is down, I have DSL internet service and it won't be repaired until Monday so I'm sitting here in the church typing up my blog so I can get my card to challenges on time.  First up is for Merry Monday.
After zooming in, the first thing that caught my attention in the photo was the plaid and since I had just gotten my stamp from Concord and 9th I wanted to use it.  I also used my NBUS Sunny Studio Poinsettia.

I just had to make a card for Loll's challenge using her splash watercolor technique.  I've done it before but it makes such great backgrounds and I needed one for my  NBUS wreath from SOA.  For a link to her video tutorial, go to Loll's blog.

The wreath was embossed in gold and the word die and ribbon are teal glitter paper.

I'm keeping it short and sweet today because I'm also at the church to decorate the altar for All Saint's Sunday and the friend helping me is here.

Thanks for dropping by and may you never lose your internet.

Inspired By All the Little Things #70

It's that time of year.  Falling leaves, warm scarves and a cup of hot cocoa.  It's also the photo inspiration at Inspired By All the Little Things.
For once I left the leaves off my card, but in retrospect I could have used them to fill in some spaces.
I colored three SSS scarves with Zigs and embossed them with a knit folder.  The forth is cut from navy paper and the sentiment white heat embossed to finish a frame around my mug of cocoa.

I've been playing in my craft room for the past couple of days without much to show for it.  It seems everything that can go wrong has.  Smudges, partially stamped sentiments, layered stamps not lining up, Zigs bleeding.  I'm now in salvage mode.  I'm cutting, sanding and re-stamping to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear (to coin a phrase).  If all goes better today, my Design Team assignments for November will be done and I can have fun just entering some of my favorite challenges.

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope your craft time is bringing you joy.
