This is the card I made back in February 2015.
What a difference 3 1/2 years make.
The owl is from Gerda Steiner colored with PolyChromos pencils. The die cut was a freebie from MFT when I bought a sack full of goodies on my visit last month. The secondary sentiment is also from MFT, from their owl stamp set.
I hope you do have a hoot of a day. Maybe in your craft room?

Two great cards!! I like them both but it is a good thing I'm not crafting at your house today because I think I might just have to grab that owl and hug em'!! Awww-dorables!

While those polka dots make me smile your little owl is too sweet for words! What a fantastic card Bobby! Any day with my Sweet P is a hoot of a day...toddler life!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing cards at CTS, my friend! A HOOT, indeed! and I love his fence!

Love the one from way back when (it has polka dots, after all!!), and love this sweet little owl one as well. That is a darling little fella, and I do love the font on that hello die. Very cool chevron paper; it does look like a fence!! Great card, Bobby!! xoxo Bev
ReplyDeleteI'm rather fond of all those jolly bubbles of colour on the original, Bobby ... and have to say the positively stroke-able plumage on your little owl is brilliant! What a cutie, set alongside the semi-inset die cut sentiment ... and atop that fun fence (or maybe he's about to have fun sliding on a parquet floor)! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteYour original is a bubbly delight; your 'makeover', truly owl-some! Love them both!

How fun to look back at a retro sketch! Love both versions, but that owl is a hoot!
ReplyDeletethat owl card is a hoot!
ReplyDeleteAwesome design Bobby! LOVE the owl perched on the wooden fence. Great idea in inlay the die-cut sentiment. xx
