Time Out #288

Time Out has a fun challenge this week especially if you are a Star Wars fan, although you don't have to do anything related to Star Wars.  Just use your imagination.

One thing I remember about the movie is the opening credits and that's the direction I took with my card.

I had a panel on my desk that I had inked up with Distress Ink and it wasn't going in the direction I wanted.  I took it, added more color and topped with Black Soot ending up with a galaxy looking panel, especially after I used Hero Arts Unicorn Spray to splatter some stars.   The letters are from Memory Box, cut in yellow.

If you need inspiration, the Design Team has a variety of ways to use the theme on a card.  Be sure to check them out.  The winner of the challenge will receive store credit to Topflight Stamps.

Bobby, the moment I first saw this I thought, "How perfect is this for the challenge?" You did a great job with the sky and the sentiment taking front stage is great! I really like this take on our challenge.

Tom and I felt 'left out' as neither of us had ever been big Star Wars fans. We borrowed them all from his brother and tried desperately to like them... alas, enjoy them we did not!
But I love how you've embraced the galaxy far away, and those scrolling words, Bobby!

Bobby, oh... I wish I had seen this card before I made a birthday card for one of my cousins who is exactly two months younger than me and never lets me forget it. This would have been THE perfect card for his birthday! It is absolute CAS perfection.
Thank you for having me along as your guest designer for this wonderful challenge

What a fun design Bobby! I just love your distressed and spattered night sky and this quote from the movie works pretty well as a cheeky birthday sentiment too (have to file that one away)! Hugs, Kate
