When Spellbinders had a sale a while ago I purchased their Perched Birds. I thought they would be great for the challenge at Seize the Birthday - Anything with Wings.
I started with a trimmed panel, an MFT cloud stencil and Speckled Egg DI for the background. All the bits and pieces were cut from scraps. Then it was the sentiment dilemma. I found this one on the Gerda Steiner Owl set. I think it fits.
This is the first outing for this die set so I'm sending it to
Darnell's NBUS challenge, too.

Such a lovely card!!! That cloud background is perfect, it really showcases those pretty birds. LOVE it!!!
ReplyDeleteYour birds are pretty, it's easy to see why you'd get them. They make a great card, sitting amongst the branches having a chat.
ReplyDeleteSuch a darling card for that fun inquiry, Bobby! Your Bluebirds have reminded me of our little Blondie... we never heard a word about her.

ReplyDeleteI am loving these sweet little birds and their branches, Bobby! Your clouds are so light and pretty and the sentiment is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love this sweet scene you've created, Bobby! Darling card!
ReplyDeleteBluebirds are spectacular, aren't they? When they stop at the birdbath for a visit, I stop everything, amazed at the deep blue and how exuberant they are with their bath! So this sweet card made me smile, Bobby! I love how clean and simple and perfect it is. Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteLOVE the cloud stenciled background. I've only used my Speckled Egg ink once since I got it , a long time ago. It's so lovely for your soft sky background. These birds are so pretty, especially in the deep blue. Wonderful design, my friend! xx
ReplyDeleteYour subtle sky was done so perfectly, Bobby! I really love those bird dies too. I think I need a bird like that in my collection. Thanks for linking up with us at Seize the Birthday.
ReplyDeletePopping by from the NBUS gallery... This looks amazing Bobby! I love your cloudy sky, I'm so bad at stenciling clouds!! I should save this for reference. Beautiful card design too.
