Just Us Girls #492 - Color Week

Carol wants us to use one color on our cards this week but there's more to it than that.  You need to use the light, medium and dark of that color for the challenge at Just Us Girls.

I hadn't seen the banner when I made my card using blues which seemed appropriate for the Altenew Morning Glories.

Using a layered stamp I got all three colors on one image.  This is the newest set of Altenew blues and they are beautiful.  I used gray for the leaves and the sentiment from EbyE.

Color Throwdown #527

I woke up this morning with an idea for a card for Color Throwdown.  I quickly made this because the deadline is near.

The morning glories are from Altenew stamped with their ink. The card base is SSS Fog and I used Fog ink to stencil the PTI trellis in the background and a scrap of Fog to emboss the HA sentiment.

The weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow says we may get 8 to 12 inches of snow.  That on top of below zero temperatures. I'm not looking forward to it but if I don't have to work I can stay home and do some more crafting.

CAS(E) This Sketch #278

Talk about serendipity!!  I was bemoaning the fact that I wouldn't be able to play at CAS(E) This Sketch this week because I'm leaving for the lake without any crafting tools.  I looked up and what was sitting on my desk but the perfect images just waiting for this challenge.  I had played around with the Altenew Morning Glory set when I first got it and never made it into a card.

My sympathy file is depleted so I added the sentiment from PTI embossed on some gray that matched the PTI stenciled background - Smoke I think.  Like I said. I did this a while ago. ;)
