An Apple a Day

It's been a beautiful day here today.  The sun is shining and the temperature is above average.  Maybe we'll get an Indian summer after all.

My card today is for the Cooking with Cricut challenge.  This is the first time I've entered one of their challenges and I really like the card I came up with - if I do say so myself. ; )  The challenge was to make a card with apples and/or honey.  I had several cartridges with apples on them so that's the way I went.

This apple is cut from Kate's ABC.  I hid the contours with Design Studio and trimmed off the part that shadowed the worm.   Who wants a wormy apple!  I made a second apple, hiding the seed contours.  I cut the second apple in half and added my own seeds.  Both apples were foam mounted at different heights on tan cardstock.   The sentiment was printed on my computer in brown and I used a brown pen to make the stitching.
