It's 'Owl-o-Ween

I love owls.  In fact I have a collection of over 100 of them in various shapes, sizes and material.  If it were legal, I think I'd have one as a pet, they are sooo cute.  The challenge on CardzTV is "Hootie Halloween" - a Halloween card with an owl on it.   I haven't entered this challenge before but I HAD to make an owl card.

This owl is from Happy Hauntings and both the body and chest are cut from Core'dinations cardstock in two shades of tan.  They have been embossed with the Cuttlebug mesh folder and sanded.  Kind of looks like feathers, doesn't it?  The branch was cut from a DCWV stack called textures and finishes and it looks like real tree bark.  The most amazing thing about this is the background.  That picture is a section of a print from a DCWV picture stack.  That's right!  I didn't have to do a thing but fussy cut it so the moon showed behind the owl.  How easy is that!
