A Touch of Metal

A lot of bloggers talk about having a problem with masculine cards.  I really like doing them.  Now using metal was another story.  That was the "catch" in the Celebrate the Occasion challenge - make a masculine card using metal.  Does aluminum count?  I say yes.

I had already made a masculine card with this saying inside "Hope your birthday is riveting".  I printed two 5 1/8 x 7 cards at the time and decided to use the second unfinished card for this one.  I covered a piece of cardstock with a double layer of aluminum foil and ran it through my Cuttlebug with the diamond plate folder. Then, just to be sure, I added some metal brads on the corners. The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark on navy cs and heat embossed with silver powder.  Masculine cards are simple because they can be just that - simple.
