A Little Bird Told Me

There are so many bird cuts on different cartridges that it took a while to decide which one to use for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.  I wanted to use the sentiment "A little bird told me...." and thought the bird on Nifty Fifties was the right one to use.

I love his ruffled feathers although I think he does have rather big eyes.  I tore some Core'dinations paper to make the grass and then hid and cut the wings separately so they'd be the same color.  I inked him with Faded Jeans Distress Ink and popped the wing up. The background is embossed with the Distress Stripes folder.  The sentiment was printed on the computer and attached with black brads.  This looks more like a spring card.  Guess this little bird better think about flying south for the winter just like I plan to do.

This is sooo cute, Bobby! I really like the big eye - and the popped wing is such a great touch! I love the way you added the sentiment, too!
Thanks for playing along at FCCB!
Thanks also for your lovely comments on my blog. I really do appreciate them!

I love my Nifty Fifties cart, but never would have thought to go there for this cut. Great job and the card turned out so cute.

BTW, thanks for the kind message you left re my home decor project on my blog. Sometimes all you need is a little confidence and the right kind of encouragement.

Have a great day!
