Blueberry Time

Since my husband's daughter and son-in-law have a blueberry farm, I thought it would be fun to make a blueberry card for the Die Cuttin' Diva challenge #71: Summer Fruits and/or Vegetables.

I made a tent topper card.   I've wanted to try one since I saw Mary from CardzTV do one.  The base of the card is 4 1/4 by 4 1/4 white cardstock.  The printed paper is from a Recollections stack.  I cut the blueberries from Preserves in a dark purplish blue, with a sandable black as the under layer.  Plain black looked too stark for the ends.  The leaves are cut in two different colored greens and inked with Peeled Paint Distress Ink.  I can't recall the exact measurements for the topper (I'm at the lake without the card, lol) but the overall size is A2.  You could actually make it whatever size fits your image as long as the finished card measurer 5 1/2 by 4 1/4.

I always like to make cards that I can use, so I needed an appropriate sentiment.  Well, what would be better than "Feeling Blue?"  for a Cheer You or Get Well card.  I printed it on the computer and hand cut the banner.   I think this style of card is great for showcasing a cut or image.  I'll be making more of them.

Cute tent card! Love the sentiment. I couldn't have a blueberry farm, I would eat it out of business. I can eat blueberries by the gallon! LOL!
Thanks for playing along with the Die Cuttin' Divas this week!
