Making a Splash

That's what I hope to do this weekend - make a splash.  We're headed up to the lake today, taking my parents and niece with us.  My brother will come up tomorrow after his class reunion.  The weather is supposed to be hot, so splashing around in the water will be refreshing.

How appropriate that this week's challenge at My Craft Spot is "Splishy Splashy Summer".  I doubt I will do any snorkeling but this guy sure is.  (although I notice he doesn't actually have a snorkel).

I found him on the Life is a Beach cartridge.  I hid the contours on Design Studio so the little pieces could be cut in different colors since they appear as one block on the cartridge.  I added a piece of vellum under his mask to give the impression of glass.  The sentiment is printed directly on the "water" background paper .

I hope you all have a great weekend.  One more and the summer draws to a close. :(
