Dry Spell

After a long dry spell, I have received honorable mention on two card challenges this week.   It's so exciting to see your name mentioned in print.  Crazy, I know, but we all like to be recognized once in a while.

The cards are very different so that makes is all the more surprising.  On Fantabulous Cricut, I won for a Give Thanks card.  This blog is just like it says, for Cricut cuts.  You can see that post here.  I do a lot of cards with Cricut cuts so that one was fairly easy.

The second one was for CASology.  This is a more difficult challenge for me.  First of all, it's clean and simple and they do like a LOT of white space, minimun layers.  Second, they give you a cue word to interpret any way you wish.  I tend to translate literally but this time I actually thought out of the box.  I often think out of the box in other areas of my life, but cue words fluster me.  Guess out of the box paid this time.  (How many times can I say "out of the box" in one paragraph?) lol  You can see that post here.
