BW Thanks

I'm trying again to post my card for the challenge at Less Is More, black and white with a splash of color.  I switched to Google Chrome and it seems to be letting me find my pictures.  The wonderful Darnell Knauss of djkardkreations also sent me an email explaining how to do the blog in HTML.  I'm saving that email to try if this doesn't work.  (I'll  try it anyway for the next post.  This working with Chrome is driving me nuts.)  Thanks so much, Darnell.

And here it is.  This is actually a mistake that I turned into a card.  I got this hexagon die from Papertrey Ink and immediately tried it out.  As you can see, it didn't punch out all the little hexes.  I discovered why when I looked at my Cuttlebug plates and saw that one of them was really warped.  It sat around on my desk for quite a while until this challenge came along.  I put the cut on a white card base, stamped the little sentiment with a Tiny Tags stamp from My Craft Spot and voila' - a silk purse.  I mean, a thank you card.

Glad to see it worked for you and thank you for the lovely thank you. I love thank you chains!

While I admire that you turned a drat moment into a silk purse, I think you should delete this post and write it over. Like: "I got this hexagon die from PTI and immediately thought of this design which punches out some of the hexas but not all of the gons, finishing my rule of threes with the tiny tag in the appropriate honeycomb." Ooooh, people will say.

Okay, in all seriousness, this is a GREAT moment to show us all not to just bin our work that doesn't turn out "right." It ended up being a really awesome card! Save that warped plate so you can replicate this!

Well, this is certainly one of the best mistakes I've ever seen! I love the look of your card! The splash of colour really makes the sentiment pop too. Fabulous!
