CASology 38

When will things get back to normal?  After being away for a week, posting what I had made the week before, I now need to get back to making cards for this week.  This card is for CASology.

I thought of lots of ways to use "up" but nothing that would make a card that I would send to someone.  I kept thinking of "looking up", as in "Things are looking up" and decided on a get well card.

Nothing symbolizes hope and healing to me better than a rainbow.  And to see a rainbow you have to look up.  The rainbow was cut from Create a Critter and the colors were muted with Picket Fence Distress Stain (a recent purchase after the Pattern Play class).  The clouds are a Papertrey Ink die, embossed with Divine Swirls, and the sentiment is printed from the computer.

My jury duty was cancelled so I remained in Ohio two extra days waiting for Noah, my great grand baby, to be born.  We hoped the full moon would do the trick around the first but no such luck.  I won't be making another trip down so it will be at least six weeks before I can see that little bundle of joy.  I thought you might like to see the quilt I made for him.

Here's a close up of one square so you can see the little monkeys.  They have a special significance to my granddaughter and her husband.

Thanks for stopping by.  Leave a comment if you please and have a great day!

Great CASology "Up" card, Bobby!

I'm sorry you weren't able to be there for Noah's birth, but six weeks will pass quickly. I can't wait to see a picture of him! Your monkey quilt is absolutely adorable! How wonderful to be able to make something that will last forever and be treasured!

I'm working next week, too, at least Monday and Tuesday, so if I forget from my brain being overtaxed, I want to wish you a Happy Anniversary on Tuesday!!

So funny - my jury duty was cancelled (well, postponed to April 18) too. I love the quilt - I follow lots of quilting blogs because the patterns are so fun and inspirational. Great take on the cue card - things will definitely look up for whoever gets this card. Can't wait to see photos of your new grandbaby! Thanks so much for playing along with us at CASology this week!

I LOVE the quilt!! It must be such a joy to be able to make it for your own great grandbaby!! When I read the name "Noah", I knew that was a title of a post above and figured I missed something. I'm so glad I went back up! I'm delighted that Noah has arrived to enjoy that beautiful quilt of yours!!

Your card is fabulous too. I love the look of the embossed clouds - and so true what you've said about the rainbow.
