MIM #166

I think I had a case of ADD Saturday.  It all started when I couldn't find the sentiment I used on the first card I made for Make It Monday.  Dawn had a video on debossing stamped images and I did a card almost like hers.  I wasn't satisfied with it (the debossing didn't match the image very well ) and decided to do another one.  But where did the darn sentiment stamp set go?  I looked through everything and couldn't find it.  I had just gotten some more DVD holders and knew I put the new stamp set in one but it wasn't on my rack.  I also recently bought a label maker to put labels on my DVDs and decided to go ahead and do the labels and maybe the set would show up.  I got most of them done (I want to redo the ones I glued paper labels on) and no set turned up.

I also got a few new Distress Inks and while I was labeling them I decided to do Ink Swatches.  I started stamping with the new colors but needed labels for the swatch cards so I printed them up on the computer.  I think I got 5 or 6 swatches done when I had to break for supper.

I keep all my embossing folders, Cuttlebug plates and rubber mats in a big metal tin.  I got into it to get the stuff to deboss my image and guess what I found?  Yep, there it was - the missing stamp set.  It must have gotten swept off the desk with the plates when I made the initial card.  I wish after all of this the card was a little more exciting.

I used my NBUS butterfly stamp and die from PTI's Life is Beautiful in HA Soft Cantaloupe.  The sentiment from Stampendous is stamped in Soft Granite.

Now let's see.  Shall I check the challenges and make a couple of cards?  or should I finish my Ink Swatches?  I guess I'll check the challenges first and see if any light bulbs go off.  I can do the swatches some time when I'm watching TV.

Thanks for stopping by and listening to my tale.  I know we all have days like this but I hope yours are few and far between.

Super cute card for the MIM challenge. I also did one almost exactly like Dawn's. Why mess with perfection, right? So glad your stamp turned up. I have lost stamps and had them turn up in the strangest places. (also, some have still yet to turn up). Hope you have a great week.

Been there, done that! It's so frustrating! But all is well. Eventually these things turn up! Love the orange butterflies and that technique!

So glad you found your stamp set! Your card is so pretty and the debossing looks fabulous - and worth the time spent hunting for the stamps!!
