Inkspirational #64

This is a new challenge for me but as soon as I saw the photo on Pauline's blog, I knew I had just the stamp for it.

Isn't this just gorgeous?  The ironic thing was that my brother and sister-in-law were visiting from NC and they have peacocks so Ann brought me a few of the tail feathers.  I had an up close and personal inspiration and color guide.

Using my Fancy Feathers stamp and die from Clearly Besotted, I embossed the feathers in gold and colored them with Distress Ink.  Guess what color?  Peacock Feathers, of course.   How perfect is that?  *wink  With a little Dusty Concord and Shabby Shutters thrown in for good measure. The cardstock is something I had in my stash and matches the teal of the feathers.  I added a little Wink of Stella and an embossed sentiment from PTI and the card was done.  I don't think the photo does it justice.

Thanks for stopping by.  I love when you visit and even more when you leave a comment.

  1. You have got the perfect stamp for this challenge, Bobby! Love it embossed in gold and it works perfectly with the colours of cardstock you have used. A really elegant card :)

  2. Some peacock somewhere is going to think you stole some of his feathers, Bobby! This is extraordinary in every way and another winner in my book!! Hugs, Darnell

  3. Sooo pretty!!! Love the feathers!

  4. Oh, I love these feathers! Gorgeous!

  5. I noticed this in the gallery right away over at Inkspirational! I just love it! So dramatic and those stamped feathers are wonderful! Thanks for playing along with us at Inkspirational! Hope to see you again soon! :-)

  6. Oh, Bobby, I've missed so much since I've been MIA from blogland over the past week or so! I have, though, enjoyed catching up with all your fabulous cards and posts ... what a delight it's been ... and congratulations on your GD spot at JUGs! Keeping you and your parents in my prayers, that the right space becomes available for them soon. Anita :)
