There are birthdays galore around blogland. This week it's the 4th birthday of CASual Fridays.
We are asked to make our birthday card in orange, teal, black and white. Do you think that's because those are their logo colors? I'm thinking so.
Here's my card for them.
I watercolored a MFT flower with Distress Ink, then masked it and smooshed the background with Peacock Feathers DI. I made a smaller white panel, cut an oval with a Spellbinders die and popped it up. The sentiment is from PB. Now if you want to know the truth, I originally had a full white panel but it looked too plain to me. I trimmed it down, made sure the smooshing went to the edges of the watercolor panel and I like it much better.
Thanks for dropping by. Hope your week is getting off to a wonderful start.

Your orange flower, framed in the white panel and nestled on the teal background...oh my! Pretty and polished! Another delight! So glad you had a peek at the article about my mom, her friend and the volunteer group. I took another look at your darling parents and yes, our moms are remarkable alike! How cool is that! As for mass-producing cards...yes, BORING! I have eight done...a few are 'pairs' but still with little differences. Only 7 more to go...

That should read 'remarkably' not remarkable! What's remarkable is my inability to spell *grin*
Very pretty, Bobby .. love the oval mat you've created - it was destiny!

I love that oval framing the pretty flower! PB has the prettiest sentiments!
Beautiful card, Bobby. I like all your water coloring and smooshing. Looks great framed in a oval, too.
What a beautiful card! Your watercoloring is impressive!
Thanks for sharing with us at CAS-ual Fridays
Such a pretty bloom, Bobby ... perfect in that oval frame ... and I love how the smooshing is extended to created the frame around the edge! Anita :)
