Happy Little Stampers - CAS

I don't know if I don't know how to read, or if I just get an idea in my head and go with it, hoping it's okay.  Happy Little Stampers challenge is Sprays/Mists and I knew what I wanted to do.  When I went to the site to post the card I noticed it's supposed to be CAS and that means lots of white space. Sorry, it doesn't have much.  It's simple and fairly clean, and even a one layer card, not something I do often.

The stamp is from Penny Black that I colored with Inktense Pencils, then covered with rubber cement.  I masked the sentiment area and used my Tim Holtz marker sprayer to spritz the background.  The sentiment is also from PB.  It's a little warped because I haven't attached it to the card base yet.  I do that sometimes until I know what inside sentiment I want to use.  Those are printed on the computer.

You won't see any cards from me for a while (well, one, but that's a secret for now) since I'm off to spend two weeks with my grandchildren while their parents are away.  To keep my hand in, I will be playing with my Zig Clear Brush Pens. I'll also be making a baby quilt for a soon to be great-granddaughter.  I will be lounging around the pool catching up with all of you, though, so keep those cards a comin'!

  1. Have fun with the grandchildren! I'm sure they're looking forward to spending time with you. And I'm loving this card. That stamp is so beautiful, as is your spritzing. I have no talent for that, lol! Gorgeous colors. Enjoy, and we'll see you when you get back. Bev

  7. Lucky grandchildren to have grandma around to spoil and pamper them - and I know they'll do the same for you! Time around the pool...oh my! I'm green with envy! As for your card: in my world, it fits the CAS style wonderfully..your 'white space' just happens to be misted! Those flowers...oh my! So pretty! Keep having fun with the kiddos!

  9. I think your beautiful card is CAS, Bobby, because the unadorned space doesn't have to be white. It will be more than one layer when you attach it, but that doesn't mean it isn't CAS. No one asked me, but that's what I think. And, of course, that it's excellent!

I don't know if you'll see this until you get back, but if you do, I'm wishing you a fun and relaxing holiday!! Wish I had a pool this week as we are in the 106F range, ugh!! See you when you get back! Hugs, Darnell
