Addicted to Stamps and More #189

Hi Y'all.  It's been a while since I've made a card and posted.  My Dad passed away on Sunday, April 3, five days short of his 100th birthday.  We had planned a big birthday party following Mom's Celebration of Life which was to take place on Saturday, April 9.  She passed away on November 27. I guess Dad decided he'd rather celebrate life with her than his birthday so we ended up having a double service that day.  Except for three nephews, the entire family was here including 2 cousins.  It was a wonderful time of sharing and I miss them all already.

I do have Design Team obligations so that is getting me back in the groove. It's time for the Clean and Simple challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More.

I knew I wanted to use the WPlus9 Happy Wishes set but getting the layout and colors right was a daunting task.  Three cards later I was happy with this one.
I'm going to need a LOT of thank you cards and thought this would be a good start.  I used a combination of Altenew and PTI ink for the flowers and HA Soft Granite for the PS sentiment.

There is so much inspiration from the Design Team that you need to check out at Addicted to Stamps and More.  Then make a card, link it up and you will be eligible for a $10 gift certificate to Stamplorations and 2 digital images from All Dressed Up.

I hope to see you in the gallery.

Your stick-to-it attitude is one of the things I love about you, my friend. You have been in my thoughts, and prayers, our entire trip. We should start planning our next get together, yes? Very, very, beautiful card, Bobby... xx

I'm glad that you could have so much family together and that you were strengthened and encouraged by the bonds you all share.

Your card is lovely. The soft colours are fabulous and I'm happy you found something that YOU are happy with too.

Praying for your family, Bobby, and hoping that your healing begins soon. It's hard to lose your parents, but I'm sure that your dad is happily reunited with your mom. Sending hugs your way. Your card was worth all your tries; it's really pretty. Those flowers are lovely and the colors are perfect. Let me know if you need anything. Bev

My deepest condolences, Bobby. Your parents have left a wonderfully legacy based on the family photos you have shared, but that doesn't make the sadness of losing them any easier to bear. I do love the pretty pattern you have created with the stamps.

Hope you've been receiving all the big squeezy hugs and heart-felt prayers I've been sending your way. Your mom and dad are reunited and in the Lord's care; hopefully, that brings solace to you and your family, even though that doesn't erase the pain of missing them. You have two angels looking out for you now...Your card is gorgeous, Bobby; I'm glad you persevered! If you need a pair of shoulders to lean on or ears to listen, I'm here for you...
Hugs and love~c

I'm so sorry for your loss, Bobby! I'm way behind due to life here but I wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you as I uncovered this bit of news... I think the older generation sometimes has better plans of how to celebrate, and I'm glad that the service was combined and you were able to celebrate them together. After all, they spent life together! Best wishes for you and your family as they move forward.
