This week at Make It Monday, Lizzie Jones has a video on Ink Blending Through Die Cut Masks. It sounded interesting to me so I had to give it a shot.
I cut the candle from Wishes Come True out of vellum and then used Distress Inks over them like a stencil. The background candles are done in SSS Fog so go with the Fog cs base. The main candle is Wilted Violet and I also inked up the edges of a panel with it to match. Not quite like I imagined it, but close.
I've been spending time getting my parents' house ready to sell. They lived in that house for 55 years and there's a LOT there to clean out. I think my mother saved every greeting card she ever got and I didn't know about all the scrapbooks that my Dad made containing his Boy Scout, college and war memorabilia and more award certificates than I could count. I finally put it all in a plastic to tote to go through later so I could get other things done. There are repairs that need to be done and I'm just glad my husband is handy and can do it all. I actually could probably do it all but the electrical but I'll let him handle it. It gives him something to do. ;)
Have a great weekend and stop back again.
