Muse #170

Things have been busy and I haven't had time to make cards lately but when I saw the card at Muse and the technique Anita used, I knew I had to make a card. I had totally forgotten about the layered embossed resist technique and wanted to try it again.
Anita started with white paper but I didn't want my flower quite so stark so I started with some Sweet Blush and clear embossed the Vintage Flower from PTI.  I inked over the entire panel with Victorian Velvet DI and then repeated the process of clear embossing more flowers.  The second inking was done with Seedless Preserves.  For the final layer, I used the outline flower image and clear embossed them in the background.  The panel was trimmed and mounted on some Autumn Rose cs.  A scrap of the same cs was used to stamp my sentiment in Charcoal.

Here's Anita's card.
This is a great way to make a background but you can use it so many other ways.  I have to make a few more using this technique.

Thanks for dropping by.

Wow, fabulous card Bobby. So glad I inspired you to play along and use this technique, isn't it funny how you just forget about some techniques. Great colour combo too.
Thanks for joining in at Muse this week, Anita x

Gorgeous card. It's very clear how the original card inspired you. Those flowers are very pretty.

Wonderful job; I think that you captured the essence of Anita's MUSE card and made it your own - beautiful!

I didn't even now where to start in casing Anita's card, so I headed the opposite direction! Your translation here, into embossed flowers, is incredibly pretty! Love this!
