The Time Out challenge is to be inspired by these words "With each sunrise we are given a chance for a new beginning." How true that is. Here's how I interpreted it. Unfortunately I didn't check the 'due date' and I missed the deadline. I haven't posted in a while so I'm showing you the card anyway.

Can anyone tell me why my cards look so out of shape? I stand them in a light box and they look okay in the camera. Even rotating in PicMonkey doesn't help. I may have to go back to taking them laying down.
Thanks for dropping by today.

Hmmmm....It might be an optical illusion, or the tilt of your camera, but beyond that, I'd have no clue. This is so bright and so happy, and I love the sentiment too. Glad you posted this one! And a Happy New Year to you! Bev
This is gorgeous, Bobby! I love the fun pattern on the sunbeams and the colours are so pretty!
I angle my cards a bit and it seems to help with the wonkiness for the most part.
such a shame you didn't get to add this to the challenge as it is so bold and dramatic. I love the frilly look of the rays. It looks like to me you need to striagten it more when you edit it. However I do what Jen does and photo my cards on an angle as when I take them face on it seems to be harder to get them looking straight-hope that helps x
such a fun and happy card....love the colourful rays...
I think your card looks fine....try Sandie's suggestion of the angle, that's what I do too.
hugs,
Karen
Great colors, and love the sentiment ... I'm living that sentiment these days, Bobby! In your editing program, do you have an adjustment for correcting camera distortion? That usually does the trick for me.

Love the beautiful colors that you blended together as they're so happy! The edge on the rays just puts everything in another realm...
As for the distortion, I am no camera geek but it almost looks like it's "fish eyed" or elongated through the middle. I would check camera lens setting, if it's a semi-auto camera -- something may have gotten changed accidentally.
Wow...what a wonderful card Bobby. Love your incredible and beautiful background, just stunning!
Thanks for showing this card - awesome ink blending! About the distortion - its called pincushion distortion and its related to the camera lens - all lenses have this problem, more or less.
Wow, Bobby ... gorgeous, vibrant, blended colour ... and such a pretty lacy edging to the rays of that fabulous sunburst ... what a shame our deadline at Time Out had passed. Distortion ... I too angle my cards for the photo, as do Jen and Sandie ... never seem to be able to get a good take face on. Hugs, Anita :)
Oh, this is so bright and beautiful. Love how you made your sun rays. Thanks so much for playing along at Time Out.
Hello wonderful friend! December seemed to pass in a blink and with it, seemingly no opportunity to leave comments on a regular basis! A zillion apologies! Hope the thought bubbles of 'oohs and aahs' reached you, though! Catching up on your New Year creations and what a fabulous, bright, beautiful starting point this one is! Gorgeous! My photos are always a struggle, so from my perspective, this one of yours looks mighty fine to me!
hugs~c
