I have a couple of birthday cards for two different challenges today. First up is the one I made for CAS(E) This Sketch.
I know this looks rather blurry and not so appealing but it's the only way I could get a picture that didn't look like the silver embossing was black. See?
I used the Tin Roof stamp from CASual Fridays and colored it with a light pink and gray Zig marker. The Enjoy from JilliBean Soup was stamped, silver embossed on vellum and die cut.
My next card is for Less Is More - Stripes.
The striped paper is from an old paper pad that I laid out on my card base and cut around. I took another piece and cut the PTI Happy die, gluing it along the edge so it looks like it's all one piece of paper. Just a little cheat. ;) I white heat embossed the CB sentiment on a scrap that I cut with another die that is in the JilliBean set. This one looks blurry too but it's an optical illusion.
Thanks for dropping by.

Two super cards. I love the design and colours on the first one. On the second card, it really look like the 'Happy' is part of the main patterned paper - very clever. xx
Terrific cards...I have a hard time photographing silver embossing too! Terrific cards! Thanks for sharing at Less is More!
2 fantastic cards Bobby and love each of them. Super CAS creations and your striped card is so striking and fun with all those colours. A brilliant idea and thanks for playing along at Less is More this week.
These are brilliant! The first one is so elegant and really beautiful. Loving the "go faster" stripey feel of the second card and the way the sentiment is cut into the paper. A fab look! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More :)
Love both of these designs, Bobby! The pretty, silver embossed pattern on the first card is so elegant and I love the touch of vellum for the sentiment too. The bold striped paper on the second card is fab and making it look as if the sentiment is part of the paper is a clever trick! Great to see you at Less is More :)
Love the silver embossing on your first card--so dramatic. And, what a clever trick on your second card. Love how it all looks like one piece.
Beautiful pink and silver card, Bobby. The embossing is so pretty, and I love the larger vellum sentiment you've used with it. And I thought that your design on the second card was all one piece! Oh you clever girl, you!! That's a wonderful card, and has a nice masculine flair, though it would please pretty much everyone. So cool!! Bev
Wonderful cards, Bobby!
The hardest part of this whole blog thing sometimes is the photography I'm sure... I envy those who can do it just right, I know it's all about taking the time to learn, but I just want to make cards, seriously lol. Love that silver embossing and am so glad that you could get the photo showing it's true colour (I probably would have given up)
That dreaded silver embossing - so beautiful IRL though, Bobby ... and in our gallery at CTS! thanks! Cannot believe there is any gluing going on here on card two!
=]
Two great cards, Bobby. I agree, metallics are so difficult to photograph! Your stripey card is a fabulous masculine card, great impact at the angle too.
Thanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More, Anita x
Two incredible cards!!
Cool, graphic and wonderfully masculine stripes, Bobby ... and such a pretty silver embossed panel ... the pink and grey are perfect colours for it! Hugs, Anita :)
Ah yes, the 'magical' colour transformations that happen sometimes. Frustrating! In fact, the gamut of photography issues I experience is making me rethink a lot of things. Anyway...both your cards are marvelous, especially the first! Silver (or black, either way looks grand) and pink is always a win!
Hugs`c
