The Flower #7, CAS Watercolor and CAS Mix-Up

Have you ever gotten your challenges mixed up?  I made this card thinking it would be for both CAS Watercolor and The Flower Challenge. Then as I began writing my post I realized (duh) it's not watercolored.  It's still good for The Flower Challenge, though.

I used an embossing border for the horizontal panel and added the flowers from Altenew stamped in their inks.  See the sketch below.

Then I saw this card from Bonnie, and told her I was going to CASE it and I did.  This one will go to CAS Watercolor.

I used embossing paste through a stencil on my card base.  While it was drying, I die cut the flower from Memory Box and watercolored it with DIs, adding a few splatters.  I inlaid the die cut back into the panel on the card.  And you know what that means?  This card is also good for CAS Mix-Up because it has stamping, inlaid die cut, embossing paste and watercoloring.

While I was doing this I decided to do another card, changing it up a little. It's not for any challenge.  Just another sympathy card to add to my depleted stash.

I watercolored this flower from SSS with Zigs.  Instead of embossing paste, I stenciled the background with gray ink.

I think that's good for today.  Thanks for dropping by.

Simply beautiful, Bobby. I love the colors, textures and your inlaid poppies. Your splattering on your 1st card adds so much depth too. TFS both cards and adding your 1st card to our CAS Mix Up and CAS Watercolour challenge. Hugs...

A trio of beautiful blooms, Bobby, be they stamped or water-coloured! Wish you didn't have to create so many prayers/sympathy...but how wonderful that you do, because these are sure to lift spirits and bring comfort. The pink poppies paired with the embossing paste are especially eye-catching; a design that, with a change of sentiment, would fit a multitude of occasions!
