Like Karen, I took an unfinished background for my card but left it in one piece.
The background was left over from my shaving cream marbling. I put it in a frame and added die cuts from the same TH set that Karen used. I thought this worked well for a sympathy card so I added the sentiment from PTI.
My next card is my CASE of the one Hannelie of Desert Diva did for Time Out. Hannelie does some of the most magnificent cards using her Silhouette, all very creative. Check out her blog to see more work like this one she did for the challenge.
I did a sort of a reverse CASE, coloring the flower and making the background black and white.
The PB lily was stamped on watercolor paper that had been cut with PIT's Tipped Tops and colored with DIs. A sentiment from HA and some splatters were added before mounting it on black and white stripe paper. I like this one so much I may do it in other colors.
I will also sent this one to CAS Watercolor.
ETA: And at CAS Mix-up. I don't know why I didn't originally do this. Thanks Nancy for telling me it qualifies.
Thanks for dropping by today. I hope you've found some inspiration.

What a great idea to make a "reverse" CASE! Very inventive and fun! I love the angular panel you used and your coloring looks gorgeous. Thanks for playing along at TIME OUT!
WOW!! Your cards are STUNNING!! LOVE the CASE of Karen's card with the marble background. Your CASE of Hannelie's card is cool too. Love that flower color and the fun stripes!!
Oooh, beautiful cards! Wonderful CASEing!
Both CASE cards are gorgeous as the originals, Bobby! Love the marbled background on the first card!
The B&W stripe on the second card gives your card a graphic and stylish look in contrast to the beautiful and elegant lily!!!
Two absolutely beautiful CASEs Bobby! Love how you were inspired and of course love seeing you over at Time Out!
I love your marbled background with the white dandelions, Bobby! So perfect for a sympathy card! And that lily is gorgeous! You definitely should do more like that! Thanks for sharing this with us at CAS Watercolour!
I think you've done both Karen and Hannelie proud with these two beautiful CASEs! That shaving cream marbling is just so stunning! And I love how you've 'reversed' Hannelie's card, too. Very pretty!! Bev
Amazing CASEs of both cards Bobby! That tiger lily is beautiful!
Love, love, LOVE these. That shaving cream technique is so much fun - messy but fun. Your backgrounds are fabulous....just really pretty!!
Both cards are wonderful ... I've not tried the shaving cream idea YET! but I love how you used it to recreate Karen's paper! Your reversal of black/white/colors is just what I had in mind ... no need now - you've ACE'd it!

Wow ... two beautiful cards CASEing two amazing designers. Love both the cards Bobby. Your marbled background is a gorgeous mix of colours that looks so pretty with the white framing and die-cut flowers. Very calm and soothing, perfect for a sympathy card.
Your second card is bold with the black striped background. Looks awesome with the tilted panel with your gorgeous watercoloured lily. The splatters are the perfect finishing touch. Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour and CAS Mix Up! xx
Your first card is wonderful with that marbled background but it was your second card that caught my eye in CAS Watercolor gallery. Love how you colored the lily! It looks so realistic and really pops with the black and white background!
Bobby love your CASEd card of Karens. That background looks so creamy, actually it looks delicious though I doubt shaving cream and colours would taste yummy but it does look good enough to eat. Am I obsessed with food, no really. Anyway back to the cards they are both beautiful, your colouring of the lily is wonderful.
You have CASE'd 2 of my very favorite designers, Bobby. TFS your shaving cream design and your beautiful watercoloured lily design. So pleased you joined us at CAS Watercolour. BTW, your splatters qualify your lily card to join us at CAS Mix Up too. Hugs..
Glad you shared this with CAS Mix Up too!
:) I thought you had already added it to CAS Mix Up and thank'd you in the message above. :) So glad you added your beautiful card to the gallery. Thanks Bobby! xx

Wow, Bobby, a beautiful duo ... the softly marbled background is gorgeous, love how the crisp white die cuts stand out against it! Your take on Hannelie's card is just lovely ... every element is in complete harmony ... the fabulous colouring, the delicate splatters, that graphic striped paper, the tilted panel ... yep, simply wonderful! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Hugs, Anita :)
Gotta love a two-for-one blog post where I can comment on both cards!! Your Flower Challenge card is gorgeous and I'm in love with the mint green marbled background you created. Can definitely see how you were inspired by Karren's card. And your CASE of Hannelie's is gorgeous. The colouring of the lily is brilliant and the splattering makes all the difference. So very glad you joined us at TIME OUT too!!
