CAS(E) This Sketch #269 and Time Out #108

The mojo been's dragging lately so it was great to be able to come up with a design for one challenge that also fit another.  I know you've been seeing posts but those are Design Team ones that were scheduled way ahead.  This is the one of few cards I've made lately.

I started with the theme from Time Out.

and pulled out my Clearly Besotted jungle critters.  Then I thought why not use the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch for the design.
And the result was this.
I stenciled the background with what looked like jungle leaves and colored the animals with Zigs.  One thing about enlarging the card on the screen, even though it's just about the real size of the card, is that all the imperfections in coloring show up.  The color is also off as the card base is pure white and the tiger more orange and the lion less green.  Unless it's my computer screen and then that's an entirely different problem. ;)

For any of you who have been following me, I have news to share.

Yes, my granddaughter's team won the FIRST Robotics World Championship for the second year in a row.  That's her on the right.  Notice the shoes. ;)  These are the drivers but the entire team is pictured below including their mentors and the robot.

I am so excited for her and glad I could watch the live stream of the competition.  If you've never seen a competition you should check it out.  What these kids can do with a robot is fantastic.

Thanks for dropping by.
