Twofer Card Challenge #12

One of my favorite things is the prompt at the Twofer Card Challenge this month.  Birds.  And one bird in particular.  Owls.  So of course I had to include one on my card for the challenge.
The first card is a thank you.
The owl and fox from Gerda Steiner were stamped on Desert Storm and colored with PolyChromos pencils.  The background was inked with Distress Inks and splattered with white paint for stars.  After all owls are nocturnal.

The second card is a birthday card.
Where's the owl you ask?
Here he is!  I made a double slider card so he could hide in the tree until it was time to wish someone a happy birthday.  The tree was made by inking a woodgrain embossing folder with Black Soot DOX.  This was so much fun to make and will probably go to my great grandson on his 6th birthday in April.

So there you have it.  Two cards using the same owl in two different designs for a thank you and a birthday card.

I'm so glad you dropped by.  I love it when you leave a comment.

Tee hee! Kids love interactive cards so your great-grandson will find his a hoot, and whooooever receives the thank you card will be delighted, as well! I really need some punny sentiments to go with my owl stamps. Your wood grain panel is very realistic with the inking. Speaking of inking, I love the nighttime scene you made for the thank you card. Both are beautifully CAS in design, but with lots of interest. It's great fun to see your cards in our Twofer Birds Challenge, Bobby!

Wonderful owl twofer! I like the scene on your thank you card. Nightly sky is perfect. The interactive birthday card is fantastic with the owl hidding inside the tree. Great idea that will make someone happy. :-)
