CAS Mix-Up, Watercolor and Stencil for November

I'm having hand surgery tomorrow so I have to post all three of my CAS cards today (the fourth is my guest designer post for CAS Christmas that you've already seen).  The only cards you'll see from me for the next couple of months will be scheduled Design Team ones.  Let the show begin.

First Up - the Mix-Up Challenge:
I watched the shorter video and followed her directions.
I started by embossing black paper with the gear folder, then lightly inked with VersaMark and sprinkled copper, silver and gold powder before heating.  I layered it behind a popped up panel cut with a SSS stitched circle.  I had some coppery metallic paper to cut the PTI word die and then silver embossed the 'happy'.  So I have the oxidized metal, stamping of the sentiment, with die cuts as my choice. I think this makes a great masculine card.

Next is CAS Stencil.
I've tried monoprints before without much success but this time I think it worked.
I just HAD to have this Buffalo plaid stencil by Echo Park and think I've used it once.  I inked it up with Iced Spruce DOX, spritzed it (maybe not well enough) and printed it to my cardstock.  I love how the DOX separates into different colors.  I added some Altenew greens and a heat embossed sentiment from HLS.

Last but not least, and my favorite, for CAS Watercolor.
I've used this PB stamp many times but never all in browns.
I colored the stamp with Distress Markers and spritzed them, repeating several times until I got a look I liked.  The background looked a little stark so I inked the edges with Frayed Burlap, splattered some Walnut Stain and added a sentiment from N&T.

So that's it from me.  I love these CAS challenges and am so glad I had time to enter them.  Thanks, girls, for four more wonderful challenges that teach us new tricks and stretch our imaginations. These are the last challenges for the year as the teams take a break in December so hopefully I can enter again in January.

And thank you for dropping by.

I'm praying that your hand surgery is going well today! May you have a fast recovery that is as pain free as possible! All three of your cards are wonderful, Bobby! I love seeing how you used the various techniques. Your oxidized metal is so cool and really does lend itself to a great masculine card. Your buffalo plaid is a perfect choice for your mono print, and the Penny Black stamp in all browns just says "autumn"! I wish autumn would've stayed around longer. We've had snow for the last two weeks as I'm sure you did too. Take care and be patient with the healing process!

I'm here to comment as a member of the CAS Watercolour team - and that card happens to be my favourite of the three!! I have that stamp but have never thought of doing it in a monochromatic colour scheme. It's beautiful that way. Love the shades of brown, the inking on the edges, and the splattering. Thanks so much for joining us at CAS Watercolour!
