Twofer Card Challenge #24

I was really excited when I saw the prompt for the Twofer Card Challenge this month.  Flowers.  Flower stamps are my favorite and I have a ton of them.  I decided on Beautiful Peony from Altenew for my cards.
I already had the flower on the sympathy card colored and waiting for a chance to use it.  I added it to a gray card base stamped with the diamond background from The Stamp Market and clear heat embossed.
I thought the image would make a lovely border, so I stamped around the edge of Bristol cs and colored the blossoms with Zigs in a color similar to the peonies my mother used to have.
I needed a rather large sentiment to fill the space and settled on this one from PTI that I thought would make a great anniversary card.  I have four anniversaries in June so it will come in handy.

So there you have it.  Two cards using a peony for two occasions -  Sympathy and Anniversary.  I hope you have a chance to play along.

  1. This is a beautiful peony stamp, Bobby, and I love both ways you've used it! The soft barely colored peony is so classy on the gray stamped background! And the border of bright colored peonies is gorgeous!

  3. Two beautiful peony cards Bobby!! Your soft and delicate colour flower on the sympathy card is just perfect. Love it with the gray diamond-stamped background. Your bright and bold peonies are AMAZING! These are similar to the colour of the ones in my garden. Love that you've used them to make a border. xx

  5. That anniversary card is stunning, Bobby! We had that color of peonies, too, and they just exploded in a burst of color against the house when they opened. That's the memory your card evokes. And I love how you used the peony as a single gentle flower on your sympathy card. The background is fantastic! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #27! Take care and keep being alert out there. The world could use more lerts! (Remember that old joke?!) Hugs, Darnell

  8. Those peonies are exquisite, Bobby! The anniversary ones look like the ones that are in our yard, and they look so real! Your single subtle peony is a wonderful idea for your sympathy card, and the diamonds give it such focus!
