Twofer Challenge #31

I didn't think I was going to be able to enter the Twofer Challenge because I didn't have any stamps with their theme with me.

Then I saw a bag I threw some stamps and dies in at the last minute and in there was the answer to the challenge.  Reverse Confetti Triangle Trees.

First up - The trees as they are meant to be used.  For Christmas.
The three different trees were heat embossed in gold and then watercolored.  They are arranged on a panel cut with The Greetery's Crimped Frame that has been dipped in gold embossing powder.

Here's a close-up of the tree that you will find on the other card.

This one is for a masculine birthday.

I stamped the tree in black around the center point of my cardstock.  All the circles were cut with MFT dies and the bottom two were popped up on fun foam and then placed on a black card front.

So there you have it.  Two cards using the same RC tree stamp - one for Christmas and one for a birthday.

Thanks for dropping by.

  1. Bobby what a fun way to use that tree stamp! I hope to remember this... two times terrific trees!

  2. So very creative, Bobby! I love the texture and designs on the Christmas trees! Using them on the circles makes me think of an old record. Actually I think they're making a comeback now. Great job, my friend!

  3. You always come up with such great unconventional cards Bobby and I'm loving the birthday card...who would ever think you used Christmas trees to make it?!! And I'm loving the Christmas card much detail on those little triangles! Love the gold embossing around the crimped edges of your card too...need to remember that one!! Hugs. :0)

  4. Oh, wow, Bobby, good eye finding those fun patterned Christmas trees to use! They look awesome watercolored and embossed in gold! I love the crimped border rimmed in gold for a wonderful CASlicious look. But your black and white LP design made from the one of the patterned trees is pure genius! So innovative and an absolutely fabulous birthday card! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #31! Keep well! Hugs, Darnell

  5. What gorgeous detailing on your Christmas trees, Bobby ... the gold 'decorations' are fabulous ... and perfect with the gold edged crimped frame! Cool and graphic masculine card ... great use of the tree shape ... and oh so stylish in monochrome with the touch of red! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer ... so pleased you found those last minute stamps! Hugs, Anita :)

  6. Great cards -- and love the out-of-the-box idea for your record!

  7. Dang, girl!!! What a fantastic duo of trees you've got going on here, Bobby! LOVE that stamp set, and what you've done with it. Your Christmas card is gorgeous, and oh so festive with the gold embossing. It's pure magic! And that you've transformed one of those trees into a very cool geometric shape for your birthday card is so darn clever! Love how perfectly masculine it became. The touch of red really draws the eye in. Great cards, my friend. So happy to see you in the gallery at The Twofer Challenge!! xo Bev
