Color Hues #7

I finally got a technique to work for my card at Color Hues.

It doesn't show up well in the photo but there is snow on the branches.  I inked the background with Seedless Preserves and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink then stamped the image from PB in Unicorn White.  After moving the stamp the slightest bit down and to the left I stamped it in HA Navy ink.  I think some of the white has faded back but it still gives the impression of snow, especially after I splattered it with white gouache.  To create a little more interest and texture, I added the Altenew frame along with one of their sentiments.

My gift card holders have been put on the back burner for grocery shopping and present wrapping.  I hope to get back to them today.  How are you progressing with all your holiday cards and gifts?

Your background is beautifully blended, and the snow is definitely in the air! Sorry to say, it's in the air for real here. Even though it's December, I'm not ready for it yet. Such a lovely card! Thanks for joining us at Color Hues!

This did come out so well Bobby! I think the frame really makes a huge statement on an already wonderful piece of art. I am off to see what gouache is. I am always behind the eight ball when it comes to product. Thanks for joining us at Color Hues and as for Christmas I just have to wrap yet.

Love, love, LOVE what you have done with that color challenge, Bobby. Your blends are perfect and I really like the design. The white frame really makes the image pop, and the white splatters are the perfect final touch.

Beautiful card and colors -- they work well with your choice of technique and stamp. My cards? All out, except those I'll "drop off" later with a gift, safely of course. I do need to make tags for co-workers and stockings tho... I guess I still have work to do!

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Bobby! I have that PB stamp too and haven't used it in ages...hmmmmmmm. Your ink blending is lovely and I can just see the faint white where you stamped the image first. Lovely, lovely peaceful Winter scene!! I've got a few presents to wrap yet, but cards are done and mailed (except yours because I don't have an address...hint, hint), and yes, all my tags are done!! :0)
