Time Out #279

It's time for the first challenge of 2025 for Time Out and it's an appropriate theme challenge.

There are many ways to go with this but it took me a while to come up with something. . . .

. . . until I saw my daughter's Amaryllis start to bloom.   I made a card using the Honey Bee Amaryllis for another challenge and decided to use it here too.  I cut four of the bud dies, coloring two of them red to peek through.  The background was cut with the Honey Bee Deckle Edge and embossed with their Burlap folder.  The big question was "What will the sentiment be?"  I found this one in Penny Black's Snippets and thought it would be perfect as today is the day the Amaryllis will actually be in full bloom.

The Design Team has some wonderful cards to inspire you to join our challenge.  I hope to see yours in our gallery.

What a wonderful card Bobby! I got an Amarylis for Christmas and just planted it 3 days ago and I think it's grown a foot already! I love just the bit of red in your bud to give the hint of what color the bloom will be and all the extra texture you added in the card is definitely a bonus! Lovely, lovely card and perfect for new beginnings!! Hugs. :0)

Another beauty, Bobby - and I LOve the little burlap bag this one is budding from, too!
Do you know I've NEVER had an Amaryllis? I used to buy one for my mom quite often though and it was perfect for her as she had the greenest thumb of all!

As I said, all amaryllis are fabulous but your bag took this one over the top! And I'm loving all that texture too!

This is terrific, Bobby. Such a great way to interpret "beginnings". Love that wonderful embossed background and the earthy colors. Happy New Year to you and yours.
