I'm glad Freshly Made Sketches stretched out challenge #717 for an extra week so I had time to make a card.
Being a quilt maker and former seamstress, this Spellbinders set called Pins and Needles spoke to me when it went on sale. I also added the BetterPress set with sentiments and a smaller pair of scissors. The scissors and needle are cut from matte silver and the floss card from Desert Storm. The stitched background is a Honey Bee coverplate on Teal Topaz cardstock. I wonder if I should have inked the coverplate with white. Would it look like it was actually stitched?
This is also going to Darnell's NBUS challenge.

Your sewing card looks fabulous, but give that inking a try because now I'm curious! I love it when you find a set that gives a nod to your past, you used this one to fit that sketch perfectly
What a fun card. Perfect for any sewer.
I love all the details and sewing notions on your card and that you were able to use the sketch, too! Thanks for joining the extended FMS challenge!
A perfect way to used this sketch, Bobby! Love those scissors!
Very sweet card Bobby! Love all the sewing images, especially on that gorgoeus colour for your stitched background. Fabulous card! xx
Bobby, this set was the perfect buy for you! Your stitched cover panel is such a good choice, too. Thanks for starting your year on an FMS note - we look forward to all that you'll share in the gallery in 2026!
