Double D - Flower Pots

I don't usually post twice in one day but Double D is closing soon and I wanted to get a card entered.

Technically these are vases not pots but they still hold flowers so I'm going with it, especially since Judy used the same set. 😉  The vases are from Simon Hurley and cut from patterned paper.  The flowers are also Simon's, cut from scraps of cardstock and shaded with artist markers.  You can't see it very well but the background has been embossed with the Subtle folder.

Thanks for dropping by again.

Altenew Inspiration Challenge - April 2025

Amy R has a lovely bunch of Coneflowers as the inspiration for Altenew's April Inspiration Challenge.

I thought their Smile More would be the set to use.

Stamped in Memento London Fog on watercolor paper, the flowers were colored with Distress Inks in Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry.  The centers are Twisted Citron and Aged Mahogany and the leaves Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness.   The black background was embossed with the Geo Steps folder and the sentiment from One-Go Birthday added.  I know it's a literal translation but I like how it came out.

Thanks for dropping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #603

Freshly Made Sketches has a great sketch for us this week.  So many ways to go with it but this is what I saw.

The flowers and vase are from Simon Hurley, the DSP is from Honey Bee and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Thanks for taking time to visit my blog.
