What I wouldn't give for a sun room that looks like the inspiration photo at Time Out.
Isn't that gorgeous? I was inspired by the hummingbird of course, but I also saw that tiny bit of Hydrangea in the corner of the pillow.
The hummingbird is from WPlus9, the Hydrangea from Essentials by Ellen and the sentiment from Altenew. Everything was colored with Zigs except for the background where I used Distress Ink and the Spectrum Noir sparkle that I gave the hummer.
I'm getting ready to head to the lake for the weekend. Two more rooms to clean and I'll be ready for company.
Have a great weekend and thanks for dropping by.

CASology #224
Guess who's a guest designer at CASology this week? Yes, it's little ole me. I won the 'Welcome' challenge with this card and Melissa emailed me with the opportunity. I would never say "No".
The cue word this week:
I almost regretted saying "yes" when I saw the word. It's a good one but not one I have many stamps for. Then the light bulb went off and I remembered a stamp from Stamplorations and built my card around it.
The hummingbird spiritual animal symbolizes enjoyment of life and lightness of being so I added the WPlus9 hummingbird colored with Zigs and that was all this CAS card needed. Well a little Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen never hurts.
I'm so glad you dropped by today. Please go see what the Design Team at CASology has made for your inspiration.

Fusion - Sweet Orange Blossoms
I just hung my new hummingbird feeder and am anxiously awaiting their arrival. I hope it doesn't take long before they find it. Speaking of hummingbirds, the photo inspiration at Fusion features one and that's what I put on my card.
A mixture of stamps, colored with Zigs. The flowers are from PB, the bird from WPlus9 and the sentiment from MFT. Every hummingbird has some shine so I added Spectrum Noir sparkle pen although it doesn't show in my photo.
Until the hummers arrive, I will enjoy my returning Rose-breasted Groesbeaks, along with the steady crop of cardinals, blue jays, yellow finches, doves and the occasional woodpecker. Oh how I love my birds.

CASology #158
I didn't realize how difficult it would be to get back into card making after having been away from it for a while. I've been back a week from the last outing and only made one card. Today is the day I'm going to catch up, especially since I have a Design Team card due next week. It's rather dreary out so it's a perfect day to spend time in the craft room. Now for a few 'brilliant' ideas and I'll be all set.
I do have a card for CASology, whose cue word is Precious. I think life is precious so that's what I put on my card.
I saw a painting at a gift shop at the lake that had a watercolored hummingbird on it. Then I saw this card by Shery at That One Layered Mixed Media Girl. Putting the two together, I ended up with this rather artsy card. It would probably have been better if the lines on the hummingbird from WPlus9 were a little thicker but when my husband said he liked it, I was thrilled. The sentiment is from Stamplorations.
No more talking now. It's time to get to work before time gets away from me and I have nothing to show for it. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

CAS(E) This Sketch #120
I know there are some hummingbird lovers out there. For instance Michele from I Card Everyone, who actually feeds them from her hand, and Darnell at djkaqrdkreations who just posted the newest one at her feeder. I love them too, but so far am restricted to the ones I put on cards.
I followed the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch, using WPlus9 Flora and Fauna 2, a stencil from Tim Holtz, and sentiment from Paper Smooches. The hummer is watercolored with Inktense pencils and a little Perfect Pearls is added to give him that iridescent look. Too bad it doesn't show in the picture.
ETA: I just realized I can enter this into Happy Little Stampers stenciling challenge.
Thanks for stopping by. I have another card to post later. It seems all the challenges are coming due at the same time.

JUGS # 276 and NBUS #3
I'm not good with color challenges but I knew when I saw the colors at Just Us Girls that I had just the right stamp for it.
What do you think of when you see green, orange and blue? This is what I saw.
Bird by WPlus 9, flower by Hero Arts, sentiment by My Favorite Things, colored with Distress Inks. I even used a little Perfect Pearls to give the hummingbird shiny feathers.
Since this is the first time I've used the Flora and Fauna 2 stamp, I'm also entering another card in Darnell's NBUS Challenge. That poor girl has over 530 cards entered. I only say "poor" because that's a lot of cards to acknowledge. She even had to take a break from cardmaking to have time to do so. It also shows how rich she is, because so many followers want to participate, and how poor they are because of all the NBUS they have. I see a big vicious cycle here. ;-)
Thanks for stopping by. I am enriched by your visit and comments.
