Happy Birthday, Mom

Today is my mother's birthday and I made this card for her.  It's the sentiment inside that really matters but the card is still cute and one I can enter in the Birthday Sundaes challenge.

The card is 3 1/2 by 7 and fits into what's called a Monarch envelope.  I printed the inside on cream cardstock and cut a scrap 3 1/4 by 6 3/4 for the top layer, rounding the bottom corners.  The dragonflies are cut from Stretch Your Imagination.  The border key was cut from purple vellum that came from a Making Memories 8 x 8 stack that I got at Tuesday Morning some time ago.  The purple from DCWV's Shimmer Stack worked with it perfectly for the middle (shift border key).  I used mounting foam to give them dimension but also bent the wings up a little.   You can see it better in this photo.
I cut the banner from the same cream cardstock using Twinkle Toes.  The stamp is from PapertreyInk used with  VersaMark ink and silver embossing powder.

You can see the shine here.  I also added some rhinestone bling to the ends of the antennae.  There is actually a shimmer in the dots on the background paper that doesn't show up well in the photo but it all goes together beautifully.  Hope Mom likes it.  If I know her, she'll probably cry.

Hi Bobby! I really need your email address! :) To answer your question from my "all seasons" card, the boxes are 2" each, the card is an A2 (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"). Feel free to email me at Cardsbycg at hotmail dot com and I'll answer any additional questions you might have. :) Hope that helps.

Hugs, Cheryl
