Mojo #290

I haven't done the Mojo Monday sketch challenge in a while but when I saw this one, an image popped into my head immediately. (As some blogger friends say, "I got a ping."  lol)  Here's the sketch.

And here's my card.

I hope it doesn't matter that I left off the bow.  I know you can use some other image but I didn't think my paper warranted it.  The bottom paper is from B-day Bash by Imaginisce - another one of those 12 x 12 packs I HAD to have and have not used much.  Live and Learn.  Anyway, I cut the paper so that the celebrate banner would fit in the correct space on the card.  The stripe is from my scraps, cut with one of my Cricut cartridges but I can't remember which one right now.  I need to start writing things down when I make  several cards in one day, days in advance of posting.

I'm off to help my Dad get upstairs to the shower.  He has had two hip replacements and uses a walker so climbing stairs is something he hasn't done in quite a while.  But at 97, he forgot that he hadn't done that so last week my husband (Ken) and the caregiver followed him as he pulled himself up with the banister  It was such a success that we have a standing date on Friday mornings.  After that, Ken and I are going to the Maple Syrup Festival in a nearby town.  They have a large craft sale, pancakes and sausage, and yippee!  a LOT of yard sales.

Thanks for stopping by to visit.  Have a wonderful day!

Yep, this sentiment fits perfectly in your sketch! Great idea. And way to go Dad! I sure hope I have a standing date to climb stairs at 97 : )

Very cute take on the Mojo sketch, Bobby! Thanks for sharing about your 97-year-old (what?!!) Dad and his success. Very heartwarming. I hope you and Ken had a blast at the Festival; sounds like it would be!!
