There are hexagons all over the place and I'm loving them. Maybe it's because I'm a quilter and have seen a number of Grandmother's Flower Garden quilts, including the quilt top in my collection.
This was given to me by a friend a while ago in exchange for some work I did for her on another quilt, both made by her aunt. I couldn't believe that she would just give it to me but I am so thankful. I need to put a backing on it and have it quilted but it's lovely just as it is, hanging on a ladder in my living room with a number of other quilts.
Needless to say, this was my inspiration for the Less Is More challenge this week - Hexagons.
The shapes are cut from several papers using the Happy Hexagon die from Papertrey Ink. I then lined them up and glued them on to make my "flower" The card is a 4.25 by 4.25 size because I wanted the flower to take center stage. I put it on a slightly smaller cardstock of the same cream color and popped it up. A little sentiment from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags in HA Pale Tomato and it's done.
I've had a busy couple of days and this is the last card I made last Saturday. I'm hoping for a little time in the craft room tomorrow so I can enter a few more challenges before their weekend deadlines.
Thank you for stopping by to visit. Have a wonderful day!

I so admire those who can quilt. Your card is so lovely, and it reminds me of a quilt DH's grandma made. This is gorgeous. Wonderful. Bev
