Muse #35

I hear bloggers talk about "getting inky" and some even have words to that effect in their blog titles.  I'm not usually one that does that but I did the other day.  I was shocked when I saw my hand.

I was working on my card for Muse.

Can you tell I was inspired by the color?

I reversed the color placement, making the background white and embossing it with the Doodleborders folder.  The tag is cut from Plantin Schoolbook from photo paper and I used 3 different Distress Inks to color it, the border and my hands, obviously.  I didn't have any paper that would go so I made my own for the border piece, using a strip of black to add an accent.   The tag is tied with red and black ribbon and stamped with a sentiment from My Craft Spot.

Thanks for stopping by and may the bits and pieces of your life bring you joy.

So pretty! I usually don't get to Inky either and about a week ago I got so Inky that I was shocked when I seen my hands. Thanks for visiting my blog and the leaving the nice comment about my Grandma. I've been praying for so long for her to reach 100. Now I'm praying for your Dad. Have a nice day! :0)

LOL, I try not to get inky! I tend to stay away from anything that gets my hands dirty. Except when it comes to distress inks and watercolor paint then I'll make an exception. :)

Your card is wonderfully bright and bold Bobby!

Totally love the embossing, and reverse colors. Great touch of black here too. And I can't stand getting all inked up! Went to church with ink stains last week...navy blue fingers...they must have thought I hadn't washed for some time!!! Great card Bobby. Bev

Love how you've simplified Marion's muse. Unfortunately, my sweater got inky yesterday - not used to wearing long sleeves yet! Thanks for joining us at Muse this week, Bobby!

What a sharp card! The inky mess was well worth it as your tag and border look fabulous!! (Of course, that's easy for me to say as I sit here typing with clean hands...)
