CASology 100 and MF

Well hello there!  I finally got a chance to do a little crafting.

CASology is celebrating their 100th challenge and guess what the cue word is?

Nowadays people get mylar balloons to celebrate occasions so I die cut a partial SSS balloon from orange foil cardstock.  The sentiment from HA is stamped in JB Brown Sugar and the string is hand drawn.  (sorry for the photo quality.  I took it twice and it is still rather blurry).

Moxie Fab has been running a challenge called "Photo Pocket Page Challenge - Journaling Cards".  You can make a scrapbook page, greeting card, pocket page or altered project.  I chose to make a card.

My son's birthday is August 27 so I made this for him using the library card die from PTI.  The calendar, stamped in HA Charcoal, is from My Craft Spot, the clip from PTI and the sentiment from HA.

I have a couple other challenge ideas running through my head so I hope I can find time before the deadline to get back in my craft room.  Between visiting my mother in the nursing home, taking care of my dad and taking him up to see her, doing her laundry, my own housework and other commitments I made before all this happened, I'm running myself ragged.  Sometimes I'm just too tired to think let alone create.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Wow, Bobby, you do have a lot on your plate right now...I'm hoping your load lightens up soon. Take care of yourself, OK? You need to care for the caretaker sometimes! I'm glad you found some time to sneak in two cards...they are both wonderful! I really love the foiled balloon card, a perfect fit for the CASology theme this week! So glad you joined us as we celebrate 100 cues this week!

Judy is right you need to put yourself first because if you get sick that would not be good. I always told my kids get enough sleep, actually I still tell them that, because it is true. I love the balloon card which I will put on Pinterest and I may CASE it for my son who has a birthday on 8/27 (and the other 8/31). Take care Bobby.

Love that you rounded the opposite corner - a fun little detail that takes the card to the next level, while remaining CAS! So glad you joined us at CASology this week, despite being so busy and tired. Maybe consider getting some help with the cleaning and laundry? Take care!

What fun cards, Bobby ... love how the bottom corner follows the curve of that splendid balloon! Such a fun card for your son ... and so cool! Add yourself into the taking-care-of-everything-else mix ... after all there is only one you! Anita :)

2 super cards, Bobby. I'm glad you got some crafty time in for yourself in the midst of taking care of everyone else. That partial mylar balloon is fantastic. Thanks so much for playing along at CASology this week and helping us celebrate 100 challenges.

Wow! I'm impressed that you've got your son's card made already! My children all have birthdays in August and I'm barely at the "thinking of ideas stage"! The calendar stamp looks fabulous!

And I LOVE your balloon card! Such a great design with the balloon only partially showing with its wonderful splash of orange!
